Man Steals Hearse During Funeral

The Broward Sheriff's Office reports that 18-year-old Johnny Silfrain jumped into a black hearse parked outside a West Park church Wednesday morning and drove off. He was shot in the leg and eventually arrested when he drove back to the church. It appears he took the vehicle to retrieve his Bible from home.
Family members say Silfrain had been agitated for days before attending the funeral. Relatives say they called Hallandale Beach police for help Tuesday night, but the officers said Silfrain didn't pose an immediate danger.

The source article says that he was charged with aggravated assault on an officer, so I suspect he tried to hit a cop with the hearse, or at least gave the cop reason to think he was trying.
