The Anhinga is frequently seen soaring high in the sky overhead. It is a graceful flier and can travel long distances without flapping its wings, much in the manner of a Turkey Vulture.

This is a wonderful shot.
The first time I saw an anhinga I thought someone had nailed some poor bird to a log by it’s wings! Obviously a little watching showed me he was drying himself. They are a ball to watch. Thanks for the reminder.
