Merry Christmas, LadyJ. Thank you for sharing "Winter Morning" with us.
Purr-fect for these cold days.

Hope you are staying warm on this Warm Fuzzy Wednesday.

A large part of winter is warm and cozy and these last two days have been just that.

There still thousands of families without power and they are expecting snow Friday. Eastern MA where I am might get a little snow or it could rain but we have our power.

Got most of the shopping done except for a few stocking stuffers we couldn’t find.

I love sewing. Haven’t done any in ages and my hands and my back are reminding me why! Now to wrapping—maybe I’ll talk to #2 son’s girlfriend and see what she’s doing tom! LOL

Y’all have a great one. ;)

I’m pooped. Getting close to my bedtime.

In Memory Of Beautiful Scooters..
My daughter's constant companion
Beloved daughter of my Purty..age 19...passed on
peacefully in her sleep
She was the matriarch and Queen Bee of my daughter's
kitty menagerie
.Rest at Rainbow Bridge,Scooters ,and give Purty a big
hug for me. You were well loved and I will miss you.

Those boots (dog shoes) reminded me of a joke I read years ago in Reader's Digest (I think it was). I can't find it now, on the net - but will try to post it as I remember it.

A man on vacation, went down to the beach every day, put his towel down, sat down, and watched the waves and passerbys. Every day at the same time, a lady would walk by, with her dog on a leash.

The lady had on a different outfit, each day, with shoes, bathing suit, sun glasses and hat to match. Her little dog was also dressed in the same colors, each day. A little sun visor, dress and boots to match on the hind feet. The first day was hot pink. The second was chartreuse green.....etc.

Finally, on the fifth day, the man could hold his curiousity no longer. He stopped the lady, and said to her, "M'am', every day, for the past week, I have seen you walking your little dog on the beach - both of you, perfectly dressed in matching colors - all the way down to his little boots. If I may be so presumptous, may I ask you one question? Your dog only has boots on his back legs. Why not the front?"

The lady, obviously feeling confronted, answered, in an irritating voice, "My dear sir! WHY would I put boots on his HANDS?"

"My dear sir! WHY would I put boots on his HANDS?"

Makes sense to me. But then, I have strange tastes ...

Global Warming? Rise Above It

By now it's acknowledged; the next rock in,
Has got global warming like Vegas has sin,
With nary a drop of a liquid to drink,
Forsooth, it's a punishment place, I would think.

But the truth of the matter is that we should look,
Upon that bright planet as if in a book.
It has the potential to be a big star,
As long as the tourists can travel that far.

Besides plenty of heat, it's an ocean of air,
Earth's oceans are puny, compared to what's there.
You just need an island, balloon if you will,
And ride in the currents, no need to be still.

You can rocket along in the planet's jet stream,
While aloft in the free-floating city you dream.
Imagine a city that floats in the air,
With flowers and perfumes adrift everywhere.

This planet of light will reward farmers well,
And pesky intruders can be flushed down to he!!
So pack up your bags, with your SPF-Maxi,
And have the fare ready for the outer space taxi.

It's bigger by far than the surface of Earth,
So, for a long time, you can have a wide berth,
As you sail all around in a tropical haze,
In a place where the years can go by in just days.

Now, if the heat mentioned might have you concerned,
(I know, as a tourist, you don't want to get burned),
Reflect that Earth mountains are snow-capped with ice,
So going upward on Venus would be just as nice!

As the atmosphere thins, it will cool you just fine,
While you sip on a flagon of good summer wine.
And what provides lift for this city of yours?
If the engines should fail, it's to he!! with the tours?

What keeps you afloat in the air is the air,
Which will lift you right up in the CO-two there.
Oxygen, nitrogen, it's the stuff we respire,
Has a power like Helium, with no wings to tire.

If you are like me and like flowers around,
Those petals are wings keeping you off the ground!
The oxygen wasted as they spin their spell,
Will fill up your city and lift it as well!

That carbon dioxide, on Earth such a bane,
On Venus equates to the Earth's bounding main,
Gargantuan vessels in most graceful flight,
Who knows what adventures may pass in the night?

LOL! I’ve never been one to dress my dogs (except to put a coat on them when it’s terribly cold and we go out for a walk. One feels humiliated I even put the coat on him - the other thinks he’s just the handsomest thing in his.) They are both short-haired, inside dogs and really can’t handle the cold well. Thanks for the joke. ;)

Oh, I am so sorry for the sadness you’re going through with Scooter going to Rainbow Bridge, Meg. So close to Christmas when we want all our ‘family’ to be together. 19 years - she was quite the Matriarch. Say hello to all our friends who have gone on before you, Scooter.

Evenin’, Dave. I think you should keep the fuzz ‘cause it will help keep you warm - your ears anyway. :)
