Billie, that is just so pretty and touching. I love the song also. You did good as usual. Thanks for including all the critters we love so much and for helping us keep in mind what this season is all about.

Hi, Jaycee - thank you so much, and I do hope you feel much better today than you've been feeling!

So glad to see someone else here today LOL! I had just about decided this was the day I had a party and no one but my bud, Luvbo, came. :)

Happy Tuesday, Polly.

Thank you .. the snow picture was of Marissa with MamaBear. Marissa was making a snowball to throw at Grandma. I think MamaBear encouraged her. :)

Love the Holidays and your display is gorgeous! Bet it didn’t take long for you to get that together!! Chocolate covered anything day, huh? I can live with that just fine! I have been looking at my chocolate fudge candy recipe and hope I can get it made. And I always make peanut butter fudge and walnut yummies, but don’t know if I will get that all done this time or not.

Thank you again, jaycee. Since I didn't include any information with the holidays, no, it really didn't take very long to do them. I used 123 greetings gifs for the first two, had the chocolate-covered strawberry already, used the first Boston Tea Party graphic I found at google....but the bear - that was one I specifically searched for. LOL

I love it! ... My first wife used to mkae scones and tea for tea parties my son hosted for the neighborhood darlings ... then he grew up and became ‘macho black-belt man’.

Beautiful song, Billie!

Thank you, Luv. There are so many beautiful Christmas songs - I love listening to them, and especially like when I can put a song with the opening. :)

Thank you, Luv.

If I had realized that I could not take pictures inside, I would have had Marissa remove her cape.

Leah and Zoe’s dresses had fur around the hem and Marissa’s had a fur collar. They made an impression on the ladies at the tea. There were two other young girls there; mostly adults. The girls had fun and enjoyed getting reacquainted.

Thank you, MHGinTN.

I’ve never had scones; they were delicious. Marissa loved them as well as all the desserts. I did have to remind her that she could not have seconds. Tiny sandwiches and lots of sweet stuff was her idea of a heavenly lunch.

Too bad your son doesn’t still enjoy hosting tea parties. There were two men who made it to the tea. Dr Meux and President Lincoln. Mr President introduced himself to us and he shook the girls hands. On the way home, Marissa asked, “Didn’t Abraham Lincoln die, Grandma?”

Hope you are having a lovely Tuesday.

Hee-hee! Good thing I was off from work today, huh!

I am making homemade veggie soup right now...and NEED to go
do some much-ignored housework. This and tomorrow are my
only real days off till after Christmas. Ugh!

See ya later?

Thank you, Uversabound. We all enjoyed the tea. We had a party of 6, three adults and the three girls.

We also took a tour of the Meux Home. The girls were really interested and enjoyed seeing the Meux children’s rooms with their toys.

The Meux Home was built in 1889 by Dr. Thomas Richard Meux. Dr. Meux was born in 1838 in Wesley, Tennessee. He attended the University of Virginia and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School in 1860. During the Civil War he enlisted in 1861 as a private in the Ninth Tennessee Volunteer Regiment of the Confederate Army. He participated in the battles of Shiloh, Murfreesboro and Atlanta. After four years he left the service as an assistant surgeon with the rank of Captain.

This is where a Victorian Tea is held twice a year ... Christmas and Mother's Day.

I'm so confused ... "I’ve never had scones; they were delicious." Reminds me of the poem about the man who wasn't there.

As I was going up the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...
Oh how I wish he'd go away!
[about a shadow on the wall ...]

I had scones for the first time on Sunday. They were delicious.

Yep .... I think I’m confused too.

Look what this guy did in his life! And we feel harried in this day and age.

Can’t fill half of one of his shoes!!!

And the girls remind me of our outfits when we went to Church on Sundays in general. It was the biggest thrill of our lives. I tell you little compares as an adult these days!!

As an aside, I have a silicone baking sheet that has small loaf shapes. I make little loaves of bread to have 'picnics' with my step grandson in my motorhome. We slice the little loaves and make little sandwiches of PB&J, Turkey and swiss, pimento cheese, etc. He prefers limonade to tea however. I'll convert him eventually, to tea with milk and sugar.

The little loaves are easy to make by placing three frozen Rhodes yeast dinner roll dough balls in the loaf wells to thaw and rise, then bake. Delicious ... cucumber sandwiches, anyone?
