I kind of want a Depression, so Obama will go out.

Well, The Big Zero is not in office yet; so let’s be more upbeat.

If I only had a piece of that bail-out, I’d really go shopping.

“Cyber Monday Expected To Have Big Sales”
Posted on: Tuesday, 25 November 2008, 15:14 CST

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “There will be more Internet retailers offering special promotions on Cyber Monday, the day after the Thanksgiving weekend, for online holiday shopping.

According to a survey by online shopping site Shopzilla, nearly 84 percent of online retailers plan to have a Cyber Monday promotion.

About 25 percent of the surveyed plan to offer free shipping to help entice sales.

The reason the Monday following Thanksgiving weekend has been dubbed Cyber Monday is because many consumers return to work and use their high-speed Internet connections to search out deals not found at non-Internet retailers.”

Amazon is running a sort of deal lottery. You vote on what you want, and you’ll get a chance to get it at over 50% off.

I most likely will be shopping for survival supplies like food staples, cooking equpment and fuel, weapons, generators, communications equipment. My loved ones can expect such gifts from me also. It won’t be the first time I’ve given such gifts but I am feeling a new urgency to be prepared to get along without significant help from others.

“I kind of want a Depression, so Obama will go out.”

Had an interesting conversation with an Obambot this morning. He said no matter what happens to our economy it’s not O’s fault - it’s W’s. So I said if we go into a depression you’ll still support that POS? He said, “sure, and I hope they put W in jail for starting it!”
Gawd, 4 years more of “it’s Bush’s fault! AGH!!!

I understand; however no one has ever given me or my family a hand-out in life... and I’m pretty used to that by now.

A tad off your subject here but I don't have any spending money so I decided to make this gift for a friend. She loves to use cinnamon sugar on her oatmeal and toast and complains about how the little shakers of it she buys in the spice aisle are so weak tasting. So I hatched this idea of making her a whole big fruit jar of extra cinnamony cinnamon sugar and include a little scoop. I already have a huge container of pure cinnamon and a big sack of sugar and the nice jar and top and a cute little scoop so this won't cost me anything and I think she will like it.

“Black Friday deals abound in the downturn
Retail rebound? » Sellers hope to break the bonds of the slump.”
By Lesley Mitchell
The Salt Lake Tribune
Updated: 11/25/2008 09:59:40 AM MST

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Retailers are rolling out some of the best deals in years in an effort to get consumers anxious about the nation’s economic crisis to pry open their pocketbooks.

Expect to see even more eye-popping deals the day after Thanksgiving.
Although most ads for Black Friday don’t officially come out until Thanksgiving Day, some already have been leaked on the Internet and are available on sites such as www.dealnews.com (with the caveat that they aren’t “official” ads.)”
