It's Not a Tumor - Doctors Find Worm In Woman's Brain Instead

Doctors in Arizona thought a Phoenix-area woman had a possible brain tumor, but it turned out there was something else penetrating her brain – a worm.

Rosemary Alvarez started experiencing numbness in her arm and blurred vision. She went to the emergency room twice and had a cat scan, but everything came up clear, MyFOXPhoenix.com reported.

It wasn’t until doctors took a closer look at an MRI that they discovered something very disturbing.

“Once we saw the MRI we realized this is something not good,” neurosurgeon, Dr. Peter Nakaji told the news station. “It's something down in her brain stem which is as deep in the brain as you can be.”

Alvarez was wheeled into surgery where Nakaji and his colleagues were expecting to remove a tumor, but they uncovered a worm instead.

Everyone should do a parasite cleanse once a year, in the fall, after playing outside all summer. All kinds of diseases could be avoided, and including worms. The health food store carries it in pill form, or you can go online to Dr. Clarkia and get the drops...it works.

Just the other night was an episode where house found worms in an autistic boy’s eyes. That’s what it reminded me of... and I really have become addicted to House...

this problem is increasingly common.

For whom? Third-worlders living in the US?

I realize that if you travel you can pick up some weird bugs, but for regular people living in America, brain worms shouldn't be "common."

Check out Baylisascaris. If you ever see squirrels having seizures, they might have some of these in their heads.

How can I prevent trashiness's?

Some of the stores are now selling THREE cutting boards. One for meat, one for vegetables and one for bread. They come together for one price.

The video on the Fox News site says it’s a parasite that can come from eating undercooked food (pork), not washing your hands properly after going to the bathroom, and being served food that’s been handled by someone who has the parasite. The doctor who operated said he has seen a rise in this worm. I think he said he’s found five in the last 6 months. I’d be interested to see a comparison of those patients, and see if they can’t find a common factor between them. This occurred in Arizona. Mexico connection?

Poor lady. Two trips to the emergency room. She’s out about $3,000. Well, SOMEONE is out $3,000.

I’ve heard of spiders being found in people’s ears. I recall seeing a story on Fox News about two spiders being found in a little boy’s ear.

The video didn’t specify a group, only that the number of cases is growing.

Well, no wonder. They should have tried a worm scan.

Bugs crawl in people’s ears all the time. The ear canal is warm, dark, and bug-sized, after all. Insects and spiders that do crawl in, however, are not there to feast on your brains; they’re just lost. They can be killed by pouring a drop or two of ordinary kitchen-type vegetable oil (or baby oil) into the ear. Gentle head shaking plus a little warm water will usually flush out the remains.

I know that beach vacations to Mexico, especially Cancun or places like that, are becoming pretty popular because of relatively low expenses and, for college kids at least, a lower drinking age... I know quite a few people who’ve vacationed in Mexico in the past couple years, not to mention probably a couple dozen more who’ve been on missions or humanitarian trips to various third-world countries recently.

Rofl..you feel better. I know someone close to me who had visual proof...he had Barrett’s Esophegus and took Dr. Clarkia for it (cancer fighting strength), and a year later it was no longer on the endoscopy,,,his doctor was flipped out over it. One must be careful and follow the stringent directions, and stop it for time frames listed in order to not hurt kidneys or liver.

A parasite cleanse is usually two weeks on, one week off, and another week on...but be sure to read instructions. I make my family do it yearly, and sometimes every 6 months if they are dirt involved..like riding those four wheelers a lot. If you have pets that go outside and then in, it is very important.

And here I thought a brainworm was one of those annoying tunes that you can’t get out of your mind.

Like...

It’s a Small World, after all.
It’s a Small World, after all.
It’s a Small World, after all.
It’s a Small, Small World...

or

This is the song that never ends.
Yes, it goes on and on my friend.
Someone started singing it,
not knowing what it was.
Now, we’ll go on forever,
repeating it because...
