Who's the biggest ass kicker on the team? The time is ripe to set a trend of ass kicking... like no tomorrow. Republicans need respect, not reach out across the aisle respect. Ass kicking respect! Bush and McCain didn't do it and it needs to be done.
This Vanity post kicks ass! :-)
We’re to bust letting the media and Democrats push us around.
If they haven’t dealt with the seduction then they are not worth anything. It is stand up time.
You're right. What was lacking by Bush and his admin, Republicans in the house and senate was failure to ACT.
There were so many golden opportunities to deliver fatal blows to the rats, but these idiots just sat there and did nothing. We sat here and bitched, wrote, called, but they wouldn't budge.
Instead, they sat on there hands or curled up in the fetal position and let the RATS ACT on them. The Bush admin and most of the Republican house and senate were demoralizing to the entire Republican base, and we still carry that with us.
We need to get rid of all those gutless wonders and elect conservatives who have energy and the will to stand up and make those comments , demand action on RAT corruption in the house and senate; scream, stomp, yell, and filibuster until satifaction is obtained, and judicial inquires are underway.
Lord knows, they certainly have enough examples from the RATS to know how to do this. This has to start NOW, there is no time for this bipartisanship BS, it's the time to tear down demoralize and destroy Obama's rats.
The dog has more sense than most!
The Republican electorate are Reagan Conservatives, but our party and our elected officials are Bush Republicans.
We went along with Bush 41 because he was the closest thing to a third Reagan term. He thought more of getting along with the Dems and that good ol' boy "we're partisans at work but buddies after we punch out" crap than he did about the citizens who elected him. We were all just means to an end, and our desires (taxes, for one thing)were not nearly as important as Getting Along. The democrats played him and high-fived each other for it.
We went along with Bush 43 because in large part he was a proud Christian. Saying Jesus was his favorite philosopher was all he needed to say to get some of us behind him. Again, I like him a lot more than many here, but maybe in the future we need to get beyond just handing over our votes when someone with our religious beliefs runs. We're electing presidents and congressmen, not preachers. We need to wonder as much about their politics and especially how they deliver on their professed political philosophy as much as about their personal faith. This IS politics, after all.
Exactly. And I'm all ears as to why they haven't. Apparently Karl Rove will be saying something about this in his new book — from what I've heard. My guess is that Bush is either too weak or accommodating because he feels he stole the election (in some respect) or his sense of fair play — the Democrat's turn.
Simple: We kill all the RINOs.
(Figuratively, of course.)
No more arguing about which wimpy RINO is more conservative than the other wimpy RINO. Would any of us have believed 2 years ago that the GOP primary would have been about trying to decide if Mitt Romney was more conservative than John McCain or Rudy Giuliani? We need to identify the 2012 crop of wimpy RINOs now, dig up the nastiest s**t we can on them, and use it to ruin their pathetic, little lives. Drop one or two of them this way and the rest will do what comes naturally to them anyway: They’ll run for the hills.
“Oh, but that’s so mean and nasty!” you say? Well, look what being nice has gotten us. Look at what it’s gotten for our beloved country.
McCain did hold out against the pork in the bailout, and for wording for how it was to be used. He did manage to get enough support to stop it from being rubber stamped in senate.
He did manage to get that acorn pork removed. But face it, there was no way he was going to be able to stop the bailout from happening.
Turns out it didn’t matter what wording was attached to this bailout package. They aren’t using it as intended anyways.
It’s the biggest swindle in the history of mankind.
But hey, may as well take advantage of it, go to the bank and get a mortgage on a bargain sale house right now. Get into the landlord business. If things don’t work out, all you have to do is walk away.
In other words, McCain failed, bigtime. What you describe above is just way too nuanced for a campaign, and I don't know what version of the bailout you're talking about, because pork EXPANDED in the one the Republicans supported.
He made a big show of "suspending" his campaign for less than a day, and blew an opportunity to oppose the bailout and take the lead.
Obama doesn't deserve to win, but McCain didn't, either.
Not nasty, just stupid. We're going to waste our time tearing down RINO's? I'm sorry, who died and made you or me or anyone else emperor?
Like it or not, Republicans get to choose their candidates--or SHOULD. We need to have Republicans voting for Republicans in primaries, not crossover dems.
We then need to get candidates out there who can articulate and LIVE and LEGISLATE according to conservative principles. They do so, they will win overwhelmingly.
Taking out RINO's is a fun game to think about, but it's silly in action. You act as if there's one standard for conservatism. If we took out Giuliani, McCain, and Romney, are we going to take out that jackass Huckabee? No? Why--because he's conservative? What about him being a bigoted jerk?
We need to promote conservative politicians, have our party choose our candidates, and win through the rightness of our ideas, not rip each other apart through juvenile "asskicking" silliness.
I pretty much feel the same way, Bush did manage to do SOME good things. But he’s an absolute failure when it came to dealing with the Democrats in the daily domestic political arena.
While he was good at putting military strength were it was needed, he also seems to have a poor understanding of just who the enemy is. He believes there is a “good” Islam buried under all those terrorists. Failures in Iraq and Afghanistan are the direct result of not knowing the enemy. Of course this isn’t all Bushes fault, this is also prevelent in the military command structure as well.
We can go on forever identifying all Bushes weaknesses, but it’s all in the past now. Learn from it and move on.
Besides, a lot of the problems the nation is facing isn’t even his fault, it’s all on the RAT’S. He did try to reverse some of the policy the RATS made, but Bush didn’t have a strong enough senate and house to get anything done. He became powerless.
Right now, Obama is trying to steal a few more seats to make himself a filibuster proof house and senate. We’ve got to pressure the people we have to smarten up and get to work tearing down the rats any way they can. For every one Obama’s steals, we need to expose and have ejected a crooked RAT to prevent this worst from happening.
“Why Can’t Republicans be Ass Kickers!”
Republican. That’s your answer. Now if the question is, “Why Can’t Conservatives be Ass Kickers?” the answer is, they are, but the Republicans ruin it.
Sure porked expanded, but at least Acorn didn’t get 100 billion.
And again, how was McCain supposed to stop the bailout by himself? It’s ridiculous to even suggest he could have.
He didn’t have the support, and all the rino’s who did give him support the first round only did so because they wanted to add their own pork.
The bail out was a done deal right from the start.
Besides, if you really want to blame someone for the bailout plan, blame Bush and Paulson. They are the ones who hatched that baby.
Don’t worry, I do.
Of course it would be. Which is why I didn't suggest it.
But the only alternative wasn't to just go along with it, now was it?
