Just wondering--after BHO takes the oath of office, he'll stroll past some guards...marines, maybe?
Who will be the first fine member of the military forced to salute the friend of HAMAS, the friend of Bill Ayers, the guy who'll sit down with our sworn enemies without preconditions?

I remember it being an internet myth.
I put it in the general/chat area, I thought. Those are allowed there, right? :)
You salute the flag and the rank.
It will probably be who ever is at the bottom of the stairs of Air Force 0.
You should check with the moderator. The Mods posted earlier that we were in a flood of vanity posts and too basically stop it.
What’s more important is the LAST person who has to do it.
The salute will be the mandatory and traditional recognition of the CinC. The salute does not in any way indicate respect for the individual, only the rank. I saluted quite a few officers over the years for whom I had no respect and only disgust but you have an obligation and duty to respect the military traditions and orders you swear to obey. Personally, I would probably be puking in my mouth and thinking about how quickly I could retire, end my enlistment or resign my commission. I retired just after clinton was elected and I was glad to leave with him as CinC. Even carter and clinton were not as offensive to me as BO, the nazi socialist POS.
Thank You. It is a shame, without the draft any longer, that most Americans’ don’t have a sense of “Duty, Honor, and Country” that is instilled in the military.
If I were an officer, I’d resign.
To add what Non-Sequitur says, we have a professional army loyal to and honors the office of the presidency, better yet, to uphold the Constitution. And whether or not the man not the man who holds it is immaterial and just a personal opinion which he/she should keep to themselves. That’s what keeps us separates from Third world banana ‘republics’
Some buck private who committed an offense warranting a punishment more severe than polishing latrines but not quite to the level of court marshall
No, that’s a tradition for newly commissioned lieutenants. When I was commissioned into the AF I gave mine to a Marine MSgt whom I knew when I was an enlisted Marine.
Whoever the poor guy/gal is, I expect there will be crossed fingers on the other hand.

You salute the rank, not the bum, ah, man...
Funny you should ask this now, because I’d bet money that the answer is ... a pre-selected black man who has something in his history that will make it a tear jerker tv moment.
Like his name is Jerome and his Daddy wasnt aloud to play military league baseball cause he was black and now Obama is King, and then the press will show footage of themselves crying for 3 weeks.
The military are used to saluting crooks like the Clintons. So they tell themselves that they are saluting the office, not the character of the man, and that it is their duty to salute that institution.
