Chapel Hill, N.C. (AP) --
Shawn Turschak of Chapel Hill was tired of someone stealing McCain-Palin campaign signs from his yard. Turschak, with a degree in electrical engineering, hooked up a third sign to a power source for an electric pet fence Monday and also put up a surveillance camera.
The News & Observer of Raleigh reported that a 9-year-old boy with an Obama-Biden sign grabbed the McCain-Palin sign and got a jolt on Tuesday.
...Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass said he doesn't plan to file charges.

HAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!! Funniest thing I heard all day! HHHAAAAAAAAA!
Shocking
I would love to see this on pay per view. It would make a fortune.
I’ve had several signs stolen from my yard. Whoever grabs my sign next time is in for a nasty surprise. I wouldn’t hot wire a sign though...that could be really dangerous.
Good thing the Sheriff didn’t decide to throw the book at him...
Now, how much you wanna bet some other Obamanoid got himself zapped with the sign, so they sent in a 9-year-old in order to get sympathetic press?
Oh Sure.
The guy is a EE. He knew what he was doing. It was a pet fence transformer. Just enought to make you let go in a hurry.

This reminds of a story from my childhood when my father got tired of kids destroying our porch pumpkin on Halloween. My father who had experience as an electrician hot wired a pumpkin to provide a nonlethal jolt to anyone touching the pumpkin. I can still remember the yelps coming from a couple of potential pumpkin rustlers!
Now that’s a ZOT!
betcha that tingled..
I remember brushing electric fences as a kid on the farm..
They’re sending out children. Guess they picked up that tip from their friends at the Obama call centre in Gaza.
The correct title should be “Boy shocked after trying to steal campaign sign”
I kept restarting the video over and over...what a kick!! I loved it.
“Noble said his son just wanted to see how the sign was put together.”
Likely stories.
Oh I know he’s an engineer...I’m not thoughm that’s why I wouldn’t try it. I do however, have a few tricks up my sleeve.
there are other people who’ve taken to rubbing poison ivy on their campaign signs. the gift that keeps giving as those who get the rash spread it to others.
