Professor's views test Darwinian evolution theory

Dembski was introduced to the audience by an officer of the aspiring chapter of the American Scientific Affiliation, junior Sam Chen, who said Dembski's research as "absolutely phenomenal." Although, after Dembski's lecture, some audience members seemed in disagreement with his intelligent design theory.

But Dembski is no stranger to confrontation. The mainstream science community rejects Dembski's work and research based upon his ideas of intelligent design.

"The idea of gathering information explaining the conventional evolutionary mechanisms are at both ends of the spectrum," said Dembski. "It's either real science or magic, both create confrontational context."

According to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, "Creationism, intelligent design, and other claims of supernatural intervention in the origin of life or of species are not science because they are not testable by the methods of science."

I read the article, but I don’t see what his actual research was. Any ideas?

"Intelligent design is defined as a supernatural being that controls evolution, and we hope to bring this topic and issue to students' attention," said Katy junior Jon Brown, member of the American Scientific Affiliation.

This quote, from the article, sums up the argument nicely.

Intelligent design is first and foremost about advocating a particular narrow view of religion, and lastly about doing science.

I'm not going to weigh in on either side of the topic but this test of whether something is scientific or not is ridiculous. Most of Eistein's work was done using "thought experiments". They were not testable by the methods of science. It was many years later that physical science was able to prove his theoretical science was indeed accurate. Of course I don't think Intelligent Design could ever be tested but then again nobody thought you could test Einstein's theories either.

“Yup, He’s a Liar for God”

This coming from a guy who thinks morality is defined by culture.

Same ‘ol crap eh Soliton? What, you have an ex-girlfiend that works there or something?

You forget Haeckel’s experiment? You never seem to acknowledge that fraud posing as proof for Evolution, do you?

Hardcore Evolutionists are for Big Government and Centralization of Power by Liberals.

Hatred for all things ‘Biblical’ defines the modern hardcore liberal Evolutionists on Free Republic and their allies in the leadership of the Democrat Party, (the far left leaders of the Democrat Party are all hardcore evolutionists).

Both of these groups hate American historical values, they love liberal judges and judcial activist courts, and both of these groups worship the Big Government public school monopoly above all.

No matter how destructive the Public School Monopoly becomes, the hardcore Evolutionists will still worship the Big Government Public School.

The Free Republic Hardcore Evolutionists and the other Big Government Lefties love the Big Government Public Schools because it is their way of using the point of a gun to promote their materialistic religious views.

The hardcore evolutionists on Free Republic who claim to be small government libertarians are the worst liars of all and have proven they are actually for the worst extreme of Big Government Force. In fact they blubber about their Big Government Public Schools in almost every thread.

The Free Republic Hardcore Evolutionists always appeal to Big Government and favor an Oligarchy.

The Free Republic hardcore evolutionists worship Big Government at its very worst (public school monopoly) but claim libertarianism as a convenient, dishonest excuse for the extreme moral liberalism they spew on this conservative forum.

The Free Republic Hardcore Evolutionists are liars of the worst kind. They repeat the liberal dogma of the far left at DU and the Daily Kos.

Like all liberals, they want the Big Government, centalized power to undermine parental authority while using Big Government Public Schools, (run by liberals) to indoctrinate other people's children.

In your ill-informed rant you ignore the fact that some conservatives don't believe in your particular tribal idols and demons.

Some of us were voting conservative when today's theo-cons were still southern Democrats, or in diapers.

Theo-cons aren't the only kind of -cons there are.
