LOS ANGELES (Oct. 21) - Spike Lee has left his Hollywood talent agent of more than 15 years in the wake of the dismal box office performance of his latest movie. The combative filmmaker jumped to Endeavor from William Morris, three weeks after his World War Two movie "Miracle at St. Anna" opened to just $3.5 million (2.06 million pounds); the Disney release has grossed just $7.5 million to date.

Before "Anna," Lee directed his largest-grossing film to date, the heist thriller "Inside Man," which drew $176 million worldwide in 2006. A sequel is one of several upcoming projects set up by William Morris. Lee did not respond to a request for comment.

So, what was the question? What did he axe his agent?

Ya know, maybe if ‘ol Spike made a movie that didn’t accuse 88% of the country of being racists more people would go to see his indie “art”.

Could it be that people are just sick and tired of his Black Victomology that he so tirelessly pushes in all of his movies?

Seems like the cumulitive box office receipts of all of Spike’s films pale in comparison with this month’s receipts of one film only - “Beverly Hills Chihuahua.” Studio bosses keep betting on the Spike horse, but it don’t run.

Parallel the disgust for this racial hustling tripe to the election maybe?

Obviously Spike's film's poor showing was his agent's fault.

Ol’ Spikey never seems to mention the fact that during the shooting of “Malcolm X” he “forgot” to hire any white women for one of the scenes and pressed a bunch of production assistants into service as extras.

Spike Lee has left his Hollywood talent agent of more than 15 years in the wake of the dismal box office performance of his latest movie.

Because, of course, the poor performance is the agent's fault. /s

"So, what was the question? What did he axe his agent?"

Spike to agent: "You're gonna hide these totals from Clint Eastwood.....RIGHT????"

Here's a hint, Spike.

You have two blockbuster films and one pretty successful one under your belt: Malcolm X, 25th Hour and Inside Man.

Despite what the official credits say, you wrote none of them.

You also have more than a dozen flops under your belt - you wrote almost all of them, including the very worst: Bamboozled and She Hate Me.

You're a director, not a writer or an actor.

No agent can alter that basic reality.

Spike Lee could play Jeremiah Wright in his next autobiographic film “God Damn America!”

Seems like the cumulitive box office receipts of all of Spike’s films pale in comparison with this month’s receipts of one film only - “Beverly Hills Chihuahua.”

And as we found out, the theaters are giving tickets/crediting receipts to "Chihuahua" when patrons request and pay for tickets to "An American Carol", so it's even worse for Spike.

Oh, dear. Looks like I missed yet another three-hour paean to racial injustice. If it hits my video store display next to Wrestlemania CXXII it's gonna be a tough choice.

Tell you what Spike - you keep on making anti-American crap and we’ll keep on not watching it. Deal?

Spike has been a race-baiter for his entire lackluster career. Liberal Hollywood will continue to fund his awful movies because they’re afraid not to. (I did like 25th Hour — the only one, maybe because race was not the overriding issue.)
