Thanks for the links. I just enjoyed a version, long unheard, of ‘Smoke Gets in Your Eyes’. But my favorite doo wop group remains Dion and the Belmonts.

I love Dion and The Belmonts too. They’ve always been a favorite of mine.

My favorite is still "I Only Have Eyes For You" by the Flamingoes.
I neverheard it done better before or after them.
GREAT slow dance song!

That was fun!
Here's a great little site for Doo Wop (and other stuff):
Doo Wop Drive In
To: ARepublicanForAllReasons
But my favorite doo wop group remains Dion and the Belmonts.During the early and mid-1970s, whenever I drove through a small town with a five-and-dime-type store, I would stop and ask if they had any old records. Maybe one out of five stops was a score, as the owner would pull out a box of dusty 45s and LPs from a back room or the top of some shelves.
I rarely paid more than a dime for a 45 or fifty cents for an LP.
One of my scores was an original 45 of Teenager in Love.
