“Everywhere I’ve lived if you had state license you could work anywhere in the state.”

In California you have to have a license in every city you do work in.

My city licenses for just Los Angeles and Orange county used to run about $1000/year.

Do they even have a State License in California?

Here is Fl the State License (Certified) is good for anywhere in the state, while County Licenses (Registered) are only valid in each individual county.

Absolutely, you have to have a state license in order to buy a city license.

One person in a corp. has to have a personal license to qualify a corp. for a state license.

Joe the Plumber,' Obama Tax-Plan Critic, Owes Taxes (Update1)

One more story about Joe's tax problem and it will have received more MSM attention than Charlie Rangel's little, ahem, indiscretion.

Maybe it’s because he owes taxes that he doesn’t want to have any higher ones thrown on him in the future.

I think it absolutely fantastic that we have good reporters working on this problem of Joe and his taxes.

Now that this has been taken care of, would this industrious reporter, noble searcher for the truth, please locate BO’s birth certificate?

The real one?

You only pay $1000 per year in license fees for the two counties?

Surely, under Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, Feinstein, Waxman, and Villaraigosa...your license fees will be increased to $10,000 annually.

This is all so typical of Obama and his minions. Petty, to use a Rush term ‘little squirrels’. How dare a citizen speak his mind and have that disagree with Obama. He must be crushed!

Rock on, Joe!

Why doesn’t the media ask Joe for his birth certificate? :)

Where is the MSM reporting on Obama’s Indonesian Passport that allowed Baraq Hussein Mohammad Obama to visit Pakistan and probably Iran in the early 80s when doing so was not permitted by the U.S. State Department?

“You only pay $1000 per year in license fees for the two counties?”

Because of the illegal invasion it became imposible to stay in business without hiring illegals for cash and I closed the business in 92.

It was a tough thing to do since we had been in business for 57 years.

As bad is the illegal problem in California was in 1992, costing you your 57 year old family business, it’s much worse today, even before the age of Obama.

Let’s face it local licensing serves one purpose only, to fatten the coffers of local governments. It took changes in Florida law to stop local municipalities from requesting local licenses for State Certified contractors. But not to lose potential dollars whole new license categories have been thought up by some local governments. The City for which I once worked required licenses for such trades as installing brick pavers. Yep can you imagine the threat to public health safety and welfare should the bricks be laid out in a spiral pattern instead of a circular one?

The issue with Joe seems to be that he lacks a local license for the City of Toledo. According to officials he must have either an apprentice or journeyman or full license to do ANY plumbing work in that city. So I must ask does this mean that every plumbing company licensed in the City of Toledo only employs journeyman or apprentices for field work? And wouldn’t that be rather cost prohibitive? You mean to tell me that even to unclog a drain you have to carry a license? I say BS on this. Simply put it would drive plumbing companies out of business. I have never heard of unlicensed employees not being able to work under the direct or sometimes even indirect supervision of a license holder.

There can be no doubt that one of plumbing’s well known adages is being experienced by poor Joe. “Shit Runs Down Hill”.
