Yesterday, I was on FreeRepublic and read an article. There was a prompt that said I could download something that would help the GOP if I did. It is somehow affiliated with Yahoo.
Well, long story short, it is garbage. It takes me a few minutes to get on the internet. When I hit my homepage (msn), my screen goes white and at least 2 or 3 minutes later, I get the internet. I tried to call FreeRepublic to report and could not find a phone number in Fresno. Somebody tell me how to get this crap off.
Here’s all your posts, so you can find the thread that possibly gave you a problem:

Another brand of fundraising toolbar...I can vouch for this one (uses Yahoo as the engine):

If you are still having difficulties go to rescutechslive.com for support — it costs money but I know they are good techs.
You’re solution is to buy a Macintosh computer. No virues, worms, trojans, browser highjacking or crashes. Ever.
Except sometimes.
What kind of brew was it?

He most definitely has problems...Or as Susan's mother said on Seinfeld, "there's something missing, alright..."
To determine where you downloaded your unwanted program, it would be most helpful for you to pull up History on your computer and look at the different websites you visited at the time you downloaded the program.
If you have an updated anti-virus program on your computer, you may wish to run a complete scan of your computer.
Please use either Freepmail and the Abuse button for similar questions in the future. Thanks.
You could down load the "soulobrotha" trojan to compensate but it will most likely ask you to quit your job and ignore your children.
Correct. Enough Macs out there now to make it worthwhile for those who get their jollies with virues, worms, trojans and browser highjacking. I keep telling my customers, but many of them are having a hard time adjusting to the new reality.
Also Macs have ALWAYS crashed. Mac users just don't admit it to Windows users.
The suffering you are experiencing is your contribution to the cause.
If you could give more info....
PC?
Firefox? IE?
XP? VISTA? Linux?
for starters.

If PC with XP,
Close browser.
Try uninstalling FreeCause through the Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs.
Try restarting browser. If you no longer get the white screen, you might re-install the toolbar and try again. There may have been a glitch during the initial installation. If you still get the white screen, you have some other program.
Next, you might try a System Restore to a time previous to your original installation of the FreeCause toolbar.
Um, tech ping?
