Dave, I wanted so much, to find the perfect picture of your mom, now, in Heaven - with flowers surrounding her, and her singing her heart out, in perfect pitch. (Because now, she has no more allergies - and can sing better than Celine Dion.) But, there was nothing to match my inner picture -

Just wanted to tell you, that her perfection is now abundant, in the Everlasting Arms. (But, you already knew it,) Big hugs, ~Yorkie

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

From an email on June 10th, 2006 - the author is unknown.

Tee hee! I’m up at this hour, because I put a frozen loaf of bread in the fridge last night, forgot about it until late tonight. It had to be baked - so - I’m up. Still.

But, I just took it out of the oven, and DANG, if it doesn’t look like it needs to be ripped apart, and spread with a big chunk of butter!

Thank you so much Dave. Brenda sure did leave us quickly. I did a bit of research in the beginning and she lived about the length of time I had read about. It was a deadly cancer, found by accident. But she would have had symptoms soon even if they hadn’t found it the way they did.

Let me mention that I read the wonderful Memorial to your sweet Mom and the little stories you shared with us were so lovely and touching. (And unique - the bucket)! Good memories always carry us through!

Thank you my dear Friend....you have helped me so much during the last three months and I will always remember the wonderful prayers that you and the Prayer Warriors have sent me. They always touched my heart. I love my FReeper FRiends! I shared them with Brenda and she was truly overjoyed that so many people prayed for her. Brenda is at Peace forever now.

Wanted to share with you that on Brenda’s few good days, she and I shared our feelings about this election and oh, was she pulling for McCain. And she and David did get to vote!

Who Is Your God?
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. —Deuteronomy 6:5
At a funeral, I once overheard someone say of the deceased, “He was close to his god. He’s safe now.”

At times like that, I wish it were true that everyone could have their own god, live in whatever way they wanted, and also be assured of eternal life in heaven. Then we wouldn’t have to think too seriously about death. We wouldn’t have to be concerned about where our unbelieving loved ones went when they died.

But the Scriptures say that there is only one true God. “The LORD our God, the LORD is one!” (Deut. 6:4). And He is holy (Lev. 19:2). He says that we don’t measure up to His standard for a relationship with Him. “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Our sin has alienated us from Him.

In love, the heavenly Father provided the way to Himself through His perfect Son Jesus who died to pay the penalty for our sin. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). But we need to humble our hearts and receive His gift of forgiveness.

There is only one true God. He is holy and has provided the only way of eternal life through Jesus. Is He the God you are trusting in? Think about it—seriously.
