"Autumn - Simple Pleasures" is a wonderful poem ; Thank you!
You ready for Halloween?
I'll be working at the School Harvest Festival tomorrow night.
Living in a rural area, we never get trick-or-treaters.
Time for lunch

Hi Dita. Thank you.
Great to see you. I need to run. :(
Parent-teacher conference in 15 minutes. I dread seeing her report card this time.
Oh Well.
See you when I get back.
Have a great Thursday.

That sure is a grouchy face on that candy corn - afraid it might be the one taking a bite. :)

Wishing the best re the report card; it’s not easy for everyone, and I know you all do your best. (((Hugs)))
I’m having quite a Thursday, mostly good. Everything is intensifying with the election closer and closer. I let some personal things slide.
Last night, we walked my precinct and tomorrow (maybe tonight) will immerse myself in phone banking for the duration.

Let’s take a laugh break....
The Half-Wit
A man owned a small farm in Wisconsin . The Wisconsin State Wage & Hour Department claimed he was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent out to interview him. ‘I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them,’ demanded the agent.
‘Well,’ replied the farmer, ‘there’s my farm hand who’s been with me for 3 years. I pay him $200 a week plus free room and board. The cook has been here for 18 months, and I pay her $150 per week plus free room and board. Then there’s the half-wit who works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He makes about $10 per week, pays his own room and board, and I buy him a bottle of bourbon every Saturday night. He also sleeps with my wife occasionally.’
‘That’s the guy I want to talk to -— the half-wit,’ says the agent.
‘That would be me,’ replied the farmer.

I’ll never get caught up with the thread! Just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the lovely pings!
Had to go to the eye dr yest. Have to get...gulp...bifocals! Does that mean I’m a genuine bonafide granny now? LOL
To: La Enchiladita
LOL! I think that is so funny!
To: The Mayor
Thank you for our kind words, Mr. Mayor. They are doing pretty good. The coming days will be hard but I am sure they will get through it with God’s help.

Thanks very much, Dolly! Appreciate ya very much! The only thing I’m aggravated with is I can’t see your pictures. I have clicked on it a couple of times and when I get to the picture page, that warning comes up from Firefox and says we have a problem and it takes out everything thats open, even Amy’s Place. Guess its in my computer but I will have to wait and see!
