Breaking The Spin Cycle
[Satan] was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. . . . He is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44
Politicians are adept at spinning the details of a story to advance their own agenda. During a political campaign, spin doctors massage stories to ensure that their candidate is cast in a positive lightoften at the expense of the truth. This leaves us with serious questions about what the real truth is.
According to Jesus, Satan is the spin doctor of hellthe master deceiver who speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar (John 8:44). He casts himself as the one who wants to give us unfettered freedom and pleasure, carefully masking his plan to steal, kill, and destroy us (John 10:10). He even spins the loving laws of God by claiming that Gods boundaries are restrictive, simply intended to take all the fun out of living. When we buy into Satans damaging lies, we will eventually find ourselves empty and brokensidelined in our journey with God.
Thankfully, Jesus warns us. He says that Satan is the father of lies. And we know Satan is lying when what he tells us contradicts Gods Word. Jesus, on the other hand, is the truth (John 14:6). So, when it comes to sorting out the spin, our only defense against the spin doctor of hell is to listen constantly for the voice of Jesus as we pray and study His Word. And thats the truth!
The devil is crafty, deceptive, and sly;
He cleverly tricks us to swallow his lie.
But his cunning methods were sure to discern
If we make Gods warnings our daily concern. D. De Haan

**grown lady had a childs voice**
I have to make a real effort to keep my pitch down, and talk slowly. Any of the old guys with a hearing prob can’t hear me but my boss—guy, lower voice—they have no prob understanding.
OTOH, my pitch is really great for training birds to speak! LOL

Good morning everyone & TGIF! Been busy with mom, life, and the campaign . We have time to make a difference & I do hope those of you reading this will get busy these last couple weeks & help. You can get names to call from the McCain Site from home if you dont have or dont want to go to one of the Victory Centers..or there are a lot of rallies & the traveling one from Sacremento
Feeling a little rough this morning........pumping in extra C, zinc, echinachia. I decided to pass on garbage day. I had made two trips to dumpsters this week already & dont have an overwhelming amount of stuff at this point.
Football game tonight. I think it will be my last of the Hudson Marching Band of season as next weekend is my High school reunion. Our High school Parma HS the year of our graduation split the class mid year to have half move to newly built Valley Forge.
This reunion will be 2 days & involve both schools classes in joint reunion. The football game Friday night is between the two schools. I will be doing nails once again.. maybe thru Valentines day. Have had them off for summer to let them get back in shape & also with yard work & the heavy duty out door play I do, they are always ripping off & a mess. I got a hair cut yesterday & will do my color again in a few days. Deciding on the dress for the big dinner/dance Sat night. I normally wear long but have a short red number that I like.. It is snug fitting & open in back (no bra) from neck to well below the waist. With my short hair I hope I am not mistaken for a guy!!! It is a pretty expensive designer frock that I got for a penance at my Village Store a few months ago (retail over 300 & I paid 3.50!!!!)
Talked with my son last night (36) for first time in 6 weeks. I have been unable to get thru to him on his only phone...a cell phone .. He has changed work lines for now. Been in commercial new construction & it has been non existent for him. He is starting a commercial electronics on job training which he seems to like & find challenging. Less pay but at least a regular paycheck. He has moved several times & has been w/o cell phone on & off I am sure due to the $$ crunch he experiences. Both of his kids are thriving & he lives close to them & sees them whenever he wishes. His daughter Summer is 14 & son is 5
I asked him if he was into politics & he said not much (which I was pretty sure about).. suggested if he was unsure to vote for McCain.. He responded.. Well, I KNOW THAT! (good boy)
Here are some backgrounds from my server that any of you are free to use for your tables. You can lift the couple from my table above in addition. The second one is one of my photographs from a few years back.
I HAVE SO MUCH ENJOYED COMING HERE & READING YOUR NEWS & SEEING YOUR CREATIVITY. THANK YOU!

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.
