I never thought I'd be saying this, but I wish Hillary Clinton could be President, given the alternatives. I'd take Hillary Clinton right now over a 25% chance of McCain winning. At least Hillary is experienced and cares about all Americans. Her tax policies would not have been near as bad as Obama's either. I think she would have governed in the centrist manner that Bill did. I hated the Clintons in the past, but if he had been serious on terrorism and had a better moral compass, I could call him a great President.
So my fellow conservatives, given the choice between a slim chance of a McCain victory or an assured Clinton Presidency, which would you choose?
I am shocked by the vitriol in some of your posts, for a fairly neutral topic of discussion. I would have thought that after the ObamaTruthSquads in Missouri, that conservative forums would be fighting for free speech now more than ever. I am now bashing McCain or praising Obama, just stating my opinion based on TRENDS in the polls. They could turn around, but time is running short.

FAIRLY NEUTRAL??????????????? You’re kidding right? What’s the title of your post?????
By the way, you have no idea how to read the trends in the polls.
Spare us your vanities. So many newbies thinking every freaking pearl of wisdom that crosses their mind is worthy of it’s own topic.
You see I know I’m intellectually superior but I CONSTRAIN myself to not post a vanity thread about every little thought that crosses my mind. ; )
I go to the University of Illinois, so I get bombarded by the Koolaid Obama supporters more than most people in the Heartland. Maybe that has made me more pessimistic than I should be. For those who say I should go out and campaign for Mccain: I’m in Illinois, and working 50 hours a week between my thesis and another job. McCain is the one who needs to up the ante. He is way too soft on Obama on economic issues, and it disgusts me. I wish the first debate could’ve been a tag team, so that I could’ve taken Obama on on economics, and McCain could be tagged in for the foreign policy part. I was screaming at the TV during the first 30 minutes because McCain left so much on the table.
McCain, or armed resistance.
I can’t believe that you really think McCain has such a small chance.
I think the only way Obamination will win is with massive voter fraud, along with the lies and media in his pocket.
But I don’t think Obamination will win.
You have GOT TO be kidding me! BLECH!!!
As far as the 60% chance goes, maybe that's the case RIGHT NOW. Polls are a snapshot in time if they are done correctly. There's a month to go. Instead of posting this hypothetical sky is falling cowardly post, grow a pair, and help me and a lot of others fix this. I just put a couple hundred signs together in my next to no spare time. On election day, I'll be on the legal team.
You want to win? Work the polls on election day and help us make sure they don't steal this.
“Just stay home election day. Nobody will miss you.”
Correct. Illinois is in the bag for zero, so this loser can take a hike.
The only time that matters is election day. All this crap until then is so the media can sell airtime.
Given your bleak changes of being right about McCain. NO
Hillary has plans that she will act on.
Obama has made promises with not knowing how to keep them.
Hillary would have gotten more of her plan implemented if elected.
Obama can’t keep all his promises with out breaking other of his promisses.
Clinton’s power group will under mind Obama. Obama has no such power to under mind the Clintons.
McCain’s support of this bailout is a poison pill for many conservatives. If he had come out against the Paulson plan and used the House Republicans as a ragtag army, I think he would be doing a lot better in the polls. As it is, he will be hurt for his support of the bailout (decreased support from conservatives) while Obama won’t be affected.
“I was screaming at the TV during the first 30 minutes because McCain left so much on the table.”
Liar.
Am I too late for the Zot??
You know what I DON’T CARE IF YOU’RE NOT a troll!!!
After reading your posts, I want you to feel unwelcome, go away, I don’t care who you vote for, I don’t care what school you go to, you’re not smart enough to post here, and we don’t like you, and yes, I asked EVERYONE, no one likes you, go away.
Look I am not a liberal and not a liar. I was screaming at the TV when Obama said “tax cut for 95%” when 40% don’t even pay income taxes. McCain should’ve hammered him on the fuzzy math there.
I’m sorry I do not pay any attention to the polls. They’ve been skewed so many times by the radicals and that’s what we are seeing today. Actually, after the debate a focus group of mostly undecideds were ask who will they now vote for all of them said McCain. That poll was 82% for McCain and 26% for Zero. That is a truer poll than the skewed radicals polls. So cheer up...this isn’t 1992.
Anyone who can call a President that banned firearms great is a NUT.
You know, I never thought about that even once!! Prolly cause they never talk about WHERE in the country that they poll, or break it down. Now I’m thinking that we shouldn’t even look at the natl. polls, they don’t make a bit of sense, and it don’t make a bit of sense to look at them.
ROFL!!!! Good one!!
