I always post these to the Arts/Photography group, even though I check to see if they're in the Science group. I decided to emphasize art for a couple of weeks. So don't get bored with the pictures from this site. I won't. (Note: current events may influence my choices).
Rock formations and sea surf at Dyrholaey, Iceland
** ping **
Right between those rocks is a volcano tunnel which leads to....The Center of the Earth!
the angle from the east side never worked for me photographically, but from the west side (you can get there on a dirt road, and walk the rest) there is a fair amount more scenery to include.
Otoh, the black sand beach at Vik is beautiful, along with the 60$us greasy seasoned lamb at the gas station/diner.
Would those be Tors?
What you see is Reynisdrangar near Dyrholaey

Very nice. Might be better cropped just below the second line of breakers.
Iceland is one place I’d LOVE to visit, someday!
Great Post and thank you for the link as well. Very beautiful pictures.
Jokulsarlon:
btw, I just realized, rereading the header, that this is your pic (and not a selected pic from another source for geology pic) - it is beautiful!

A little limestone with your tea??
No, it’s not mine. I look around every week for an interesting picture. This was taken by Frantisek Staud. Click on the link at the top to see more of his (her?) work.
Checked: the photographer is male.
