Some days, I get tired just reading your posts about how busy you are.
Seems like a long time since I had that kind of energy. :o|
The youngest is up now -- and in a world of hurt. *\:-(
I put the byos to bed and then went to lie down and read. After half a chapter of “Moment of Truth in Iraq,” a big black thing landed on me and I fell asleep. When I woke up, the big black thing was still sitting there, whiffling and shedding. When she realized I was awake, she got excited and clawed and bit and purred, and then followed me into the bathroom and told me she doesn’t like it when we have guests.
Mom and Bill have gone to get a takeout supper for the kids, and then the adults are going out to eat. Anoreth has discovered that the Army will let her go “into action” if she gets into military intelligence, so she’s going to research that. Sheesh.
Tell her to get used to jokes involving the word “oxymoron”.
Well, yes. Especially in the Army :-).
The Army will also train 5’1” girls to be helicopter pilots. Go figure.

Poor Wednesday. Of course, considering what she was like when you got her, I think her complaints are a step in the right direction. At least she doesn’t just sulk, now. ;o]
What kind of take-out did the kids get? Must be fun for them...the big folks go to dinner and leave the littler folks to fend for themselves.
Once when my brothers were left in charge of us, one of them got the idea that flinging Ritz crackers out of a box while turning in circles would be fun. Especially if he could get the two of us gullible girls to chase them.
The only thing he didn’t count on was a bookcase jumping out from the wall and smacking him on the chin with its corner. I dunno...I thought it was funny. But then I was probably only about two or three.
Still, having folks out of your hair when you want to play can be a good thing!

I knew a Gunny that was on the USS Kiersarge. (I think that’s how it’s spelled. Been a long time since I thought of it.)

The kids got bagels and sandwiches from Panera. The adults went to Chili’s in Monroe. I had a real meat hamburger and real fried French fries!
Not too much disaster when we got home. Tom, Elen, and Sally were on the trampoline across the street, and Anoreth was trying to get the little boys to bed, without success.
Anoreth would love artillery.
Electronics/computers for me -- I came SO close to going Navy (Air Force 2nd).

I was in Air Defense Artillery. (Yes, it was a long time ago.)
It included the best of everything; rockets, radars, electronics/computers, explosives up to and including the heavy metal kind, and I got to spend my time in a "class" "room".
They went all the way to Louisiana to go to Chili's?
