New timing belt and new tensioner to compliment the new oil pump that sparked off this whole adventure.
And it is still doing the previously described weirdness.
They’re currently rechecking everything they’ve touched.

And I was complaining because the water pump is dying faster than the battery is...

I’m lucky that the engine isn’t cooked or blown.

Been a bad week car wise here.

I just put new tires on it, new rotors, calipers and pads, now the water pump and the battery.

But I’ve driven it for four years without a bit of trouble, and the parts (with exception of the pads) were all original equipment.

At least I’m not making payments, too! ;o])

Previous place I took the car to told me that there was nothing wrong with the front end.
Well.. it needed four struts, control arm bushings, and an alignment.
Previous place also told me the timing belt was fine.

Current mechanic is peeved with the guys I had previously taken the car to.
Hence his puzzlement over what the car is doing.
There’s no telling what the previous place did to it to get it to do this since the curret mechanic just replaced the timing belt and tensioner aftfer teh opil pump siezed.

One notices that that spells "lipo" backwards, so it is probably something that puts lipo into you, rather than extract it.
