Unfortunately, most liberals only want to hear one thing, “What day is my check coming”. The government bailout is a quick fix, but not the right one. But that seems to be the problem with most of America right now, instant gratification and most have become too spoiled.

My husband is of the opinion that we need a depression to wake people up to hard work and self suffiency. I don’t agree, but I understand his logic.

Don't pop the champagne cork yet...the campaign changed ninety degrees today. The state of the big-picture economy has now taken center stage and obama-biden will feed off it for weeks.

While Sarah was hitting it out of the park in Colorado biden was let off the leash in front of the UAW and told to attack. The angle is that McCain would be nothing but Bush 44. He hit it hard and often, backing it up with some really bone-headed quotes from McCain's history. The message is a clear and emotionally compelling one for the audience.

In the five minutes I watched Palin was not even mentioned so maybe the obama people are getting smart and have gone back to running against a very flawed McCain.

I'm not painting doom and gloom, I'm simply pointing out that there are seven weeks left and a lot can happen....nothing is over yet.

Noticed how her stump speech is evolving and including current events, like what all has been going on this morning with the markets and financial institutions.

 

I had Sarah on a live computer feed with Biden on the TV, doing a running side by side comparison.

 

Sarah's event had the energy of a championship game pep rally - thought Biden was presiding over a funeral or something, matter of fact he announced the death of some staffer or staffer's spouse during his event - anyway, Biden had a frowny pickle-face and so did his audience for that matter; no energy, no spunk. Deflated balloon. Pooey.

The issue I have with zingers like this is that her running mate is Washington. At some point someone is going to realize this and ask why McCain has been asleep at the switch. It unintentionally casts 0bama's lack of tenure in the Senate in a positive light.
