It is time to get things underway.
A very wet Texas is digging out from the damage left from Hurrican Ike. Ike is now over the northeast and is still a very wet storm. Best wishes and prayers to those in Ike's path. As far as I know, we are enjoying a reprieve from tropical storms at the moment.
The NYTs has put out at least 4 stories smearing Sarah Palin. Have they covered the Ayers-Obama relationship? Have they investigated as to whether Nobama is even eligible to run for President? I don't think so. In a non-related matter, stock in the NYTs is at an all-time lo.
Speaking of stock and financial problems, Lehman Brothers has declared bancruptcy and Merrill-Lynch is facing a probable buyout by Bank of America.
We cannot ignore the IRS problems that Rangel is having. Not reporting income from a vacation home seems to be tax-fraud. Is he still active in Congress? Is he a demoncRAT?
There is 49 days left until the national elections. We have some work to do.

Sunday I am doing the Susan G. Komen 5 K Race for the Cure. The weatherman says there is a chance of showers so we are all taking a change of clothes so we don't have to go to dinner after the race in sopping duds.

Sorry I am late today, back and forth tot he heart doc, been having a little problem and it turns out to the battery in my pace maker, I go in Thru to have it replaced, probably the reason I have been just worn out all the time. The doc is keeping me overnight in the hospital just as a precaution, course I asked him was he late on paying his car payment, he got me this time, ‘not mine, the wife's’ He says that it is nothing to be concerned about but if you know me, I will worry myself sick.
We are having some wonderful weather since the front came thru, so nice, not hot, not too cloudy, Juuuuuust right. We are hoping the storm season is over, till next year.
The President's race, I am so sick of the ObamaWhama junk, and the staff of his, steal a nickle off a dead man eye.
Off to ‘shoo’ the cat out of my closest, how he got in there I will never know.

Hello! I’m well, thank you. Just got back to my house with the grandsons. Today Is Happy Meal Day at Grandma’s, so they are busy eating lunch. I always tell them that I need to read my internet news and that is when I check out what is happening with everyone here and all the great stuff posted on FreeRepublic.
