• Check your source. I haven't seen numbers like that. The race is really MUCH closer.
  
• It is way too early to go by those projections. They won't be accurate at all until a few days before the election.
  
• Keep your eye on the goal, steady as she goes. Don't look to the right or the left, but maintain a steady course. IOW, FOCUS!

I enjoy it. Mostly. I also enjoyed season 1 of 24. I haven’t seen any of the other seasons. I need to clear some time so that I can watch it all at once.

I’ll keep Ike in the prayers to go where the rain is needed most. My mother pointed out that the south benefits from three or four tropical depressions per year. It keeps our water table high.

Tomorrow is basically a hospital follow-up visit. I have a feeling that the doc will take a urine sample, poke at my stomach and then say he thinks we’ve caught the worst of it. I have no expectation that he’ll treat me further.

There’s more re Jim Johnson: Turns that Johnson was leading the vice president vetting team when he was deep-sixed in June. He was thrown under the bus because it came to light that, in addition to taking down big bucks at FM, Johnson was also involved with the Countrywide scandal from early this year!!! He was doing the same thing there, getting ginned-up bonuses and getting under-prime personal loans....none of it illegal, mind you...;-))
