(CNN) Barack Obama defended his experience in dealing with natural disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina, and took a swipe at newly minted GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
In an interview on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 Monday night, Obama was asked about whether his experience in the U.S. Senate dealing with weather-related situations compares to Palins executive experience running the state of Alaska and as the small town mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.
My understanding is that Gov. Palins town, Wassilla, has I think 50 employees. We've got 2500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe 12 million dollars a year we have a budget of about three times that just for the month, Obama responded.
Our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the past couple of years and certainly in terms of the legislation Ive passed in the past couple of years, post-Katrina.

Vote for *me*.
The most fascinating thing here is that Obama seems to be running against Palin. Somebody might want to tell him that McCain is his opponent.
I want to leave a comment, but it’s locked with only one comment critical to Obama, the rest either praise him or attacking that one.
You do understand that Illinois is a hotbed for climatic events, right? /sarcasm
I’m thinking the editor hasn’t had his morning coffee yet. Otherwise there would be no way it would be written that way. I’m sure they will go back and edit it to something like “Obama’s Experience Trumps Small Town Mayor, Palin>
I'm reminded of a quote from the movie "Rush Hour II"...
Kenny: [pointing to Carter] Why are you hangin' with 7-11?
Lee: 7-11?
Kenny: Yeah, his mouth never closes.
I did not know that this was the McCain/Keller ticket, since Diane Keller is the current mayor of Wassilla. If Obama is so confused that he can’t tell the difference between Diane Keller and Sarah Palin, he should withdraw right now.
“What did Obama do? Take a guided tour with some camera crews? Please!”
Slithered up out of the bayou and dried his scales in the sun?
“Why is Obama comparing himself, a presidential candidate to the vice-presidential candidate? Shouldn’t he be comparing himself to McCain?”
Maybe because Obambi has always been just a cardboard cutout and advertising created meme for a Biden presidency.
Biden could never get elected on his own. He’s run so many times and been rejected so many times.
Who backed Obambi? Dickie Durbin and his gang of Merry Marxists. Dubin and his gang and Biden go way back in connections with Rezko, too.
Obambi is comparing himself to Palin because Biden is going to be running the country, not Obambi. It’s a Freudian slip.
Obama went on to say, “Uh, you see, uh, Palin was, um, only one player on one, uh, basketball team, in high school. While I, umm.., managed to organize many, uh, basketball games, and um, uh, played many positions on those same teams, while uh, I was a, uh, community organizer, in umm, Chicago..”
Uh, Hussein. . .she's a VP candidate. . .you're running for President. I don't think it's a smart move to compare yourself to the VP candidate, as it will ony highlight your inadequacies.
But go ahead. . .keep running your campaign like a moron. It's fine by me. :)
Is this a sentence? And if so, does it make sense?
“Our ability to manage large systems and to execute I think has been made clear over the past couple of years and certainly in terms of the legislation Ive passed in the past couple of years, post-Katrina.”

I'd like to see the "pattern" of issues where he actually voted.
Obama cannot help himself. This is a game he cannot win, only lose. He's playing McCain's game.
Obama thinks like, dang I dont know, DOES he think?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You ask a VERY GOOD question! My opinion is that he does not think, he reacts emotionally and this should be obvious to anyone who DOES think. All the hype about how brilliant he is is just that, Hype. Every election the press tells us how brilliant the Democrats are and it only accentuates how clueless they really are.
Why is the Democrap party always refering to GOVERNOR Palin by her last job as MAYOR of a small town?
As if she was never the GOVERNOR of the BIGGEST STATE IN THE UNION? (sorry Texas- its true)
By this same standard wasn’t Obamarama only a ‘community organizer’ before his criminal Rezco buddies got him into office?
“She’s a governor of a huge state, with a $9B budget.”
If he insists on making a comparison of their respective executive experience, maybe he should use the data for the State of Alaska that she governs. He will come up woefully short.
I’d like to see the campaign turn his words around into a commercial that points that out and smacks him down. This guy is a devious creep.
Great line! It is coming back to me.
