Is this the new face of Ronald Reagan?

WOW!!! Sarah Palin's pick to be McCain's VP has given me an overwhelming feeling of hope for the USA. I never thought a single person could make this much difference. The typical considerations (in the media) of Romney/Lieberman/etc, made me think of more of the same. I've voted in every election since I've been 18 and certainly remember how "bad" it was during the Carter reign with 21% interest at the banks. So looking at the democrats and expecting a throw back to the Carter demolition of the US was very depressing, and what was going to make a difference with McCain? NOW, with a Sarah Palin on the ticket, someone who is NOT from Washington and who knows how to shoot, fish, and yet still look like a class act. What more can you want? Oh yeah, she quoted my favorite phrase, "the good ole boys network". I am one pumped conservative sister with a feeling of hope and optimism for the future of the USA!!! Is the the new face of Ronald Reagan?

She reminds me of Margaret Thatcher in actions and in lifestyle. She has a family life and she’s tough.

I too am much more optimistic. I may even get really bold and send the McCain camp some of my hard-earned money.

In 1984, when Mondale chose Ferraro as his VP, Ronald Reagan said something to the effect, "We will have a woman President someday, and she will be on the Republican ticket." (Does anyone know the exact quote?)

Here's to you, Reagan. You were prophetic.

And there will be many “Palin Democrats”.

Palin has the potential to be the next Reagan or Thatcher, provided McCain brings her along as VP during his administration, giving her solid responsibilities and duties so that she will be ready at whatever point McCain is done

Sarah Palin is a member of a pro-Israel congregation. If elected, the first Zionist in the executive branch since Reagan.
