PREDICTION. And I'm putting a C-note on it:

Many will be disappointed.

Heck,I'm willing to be more specific:

Many here will be disappointed!

I am still hoping for Meg Whitman

Even McWhacked isn't that stoopid ...

I think you’re right. We have to remember that this is John McCain the Maverick. He is almost guaranteed to disappoint.

Is there a FReeper within, say, 50 miles of Juan McCain’s cabin will to perform some midnight dumpster diving, or do we have to hire a Mexican coyote?

If McCain chooses ANY Pro Choice candidate, he has lost the Catholic vote. Trust me on this. I for one will vote “present.”

I picked this up from palinforamerica.com. It's a stretch, but an interesting one:

Why one Earth would McCain announce his Vice President on a basketball court? Considering Palin's notability for her basketball fame, this is interesting. I mean, if I was going to announce my Vice, I don't think the first choice would be a b-ball court unless it signaled something.

MIKE ROUNDS, GOVERNOR OF SOUTH DAKOTA - WHO MCCAIN SHOULD PICK FOR VP

For the first time in a while, we agree.

Mike Rounds is a great choice. Talk about someone wo is actively pro-life! I also like Gov Palin from Alaska, even before the HRC 'weepy-widows' were left at the alter. Those are my personal top two faves, equally happy with either. Palin gets the nod as the better tactical choice to attract women indys. Se's also an outdoor sports person including fising, hunting, etc. Her husband works on an oil field. All this helps McCain look better.

Having said all that, the betting favorites should be either KB Hutchison or Tim Pawlenty. I view them both as acceptable choices, with the tactical advantage going to KB Hutch for same reason as above.

Condi could be a M Thatcher

Condi is incompetant, one of the worst Secretaries of State we have ever had.

When will the affirmative action wing of the GOP learn? If the blacks voted 90% for Gore, what makes you think they won't vote 95% for Obama even if we put a token black on the ticket?

I think you should read: "Hutchison as McCain'e veep Pick" by Mark Kilmer.

I doubt the floor plan is available for public ocnsumption, but some intrepid reporter can probably get a copy .. and they may NOT make any change till after the announcement (as Obama did)

Agreed. I hope McCain picks an unusual choice like Cantor or Palin...but we're conservatives, so we like them because that's what they are.

Remember: McCain would NEVER be a Freeper

Frank, as a Catholic I do not blame you and would never dishonor your statement by making excuses. I look at it like McCain, who has his own pro-life problems (fetal stem cell research) is so much more acceptable than nObama-Biden that I have to vote for him to keep those butchers out of office. Even with Hutchinson I have to go back to a very important tent of military battle...I need to survive to fight another day...

I need McCain to win so nObama doesn’t. Babies still die, but not as many, and it gives me time to continue to fight the battle HARD...and LOUDLY.

nObama/Biden or no vote = defeat
McCain/Hutchinson = stalemate

Just my thought process now...could change. We’ve never been faced with such poor choices in the pro-life movement since Ford vs. Carter.
