That was so fantastic .. my hooting woke up my sleeping husband .. then got such an adrenelin rush, I couldn’t sleep till past 3a!

it was a great race, pure drama ... Lezak was still visibly behind with only a few ft. to the wall, but then he just kicked in and ... what? maybe a finger length difference in the finish? WOW ....!!!
The look reminded me of a look one gets when someone slaps a 2x4 to the one's forehead.
I would like to see a new politically incorrect Olympics. No girls trying to play boys games and some new events like the “Quick Draw”,... Polar Bear Hunt... Oil drilling, and Tree Cutting. Anyone got any other events you would like to see.
This was one of my favorite Olympic events ever. I think it was so much more fun because the French had been trash talkin’. The look on the faces on the French was priceless.
I was yelling at the TV like it was the Bears scoring a final second TD against the Packers.
My son and I were jumping and yelling too.
I was slightly disappointed that during the playing of the National Anthem I didn't see a single one of our guys mouthing the words to "The Star-Spangled Banner" at all. I always enjoy seeing our athletes singing their national anthem on the medal stand as it is played.
The sheer joy that you saw on Phelps’ and the rest of the teams face when they saw they won is what makes the Olympics great.
I got home late last night after a busy weekend, turned on the Olympics, and this was the first event I saw. Absolutely incredible, kudos to team America and especially Lezak who came from behind to kick the Frenchman’s @$$.

This was great for drama, no doubt about it.
But also not to be missed was the Women’s, I think it was 400m freestyle.
The French girl, Amaoudore, had won gold 4 years ago. Then she was the toast of the town. Then she got the hots for an Italian swimmer and tried to leave her country and swim for Italy. Then the Italian swimmer dumped her for an Italian woman swimmer. Then, somehow, nude pictures of Amaoudore surfaced in magazines and on the net and the rumor was that it was the the ex-boyfriend and the Italian woman who were behind it.
Last night the French girl got to swim against the girl that took her boyfriend and may have posted nude pictures of her on the net.
Can you say catfight?
Unfortunately neither girl won - the french girl came in dead last.
Lezak really put the pedal to the metal. It was a thrilling sight! The frog’s blank stares were priceless. ;-) Now we know what egg on French Toast looks like!
BTW...I don't mind the French talking trash...that just shows that they knew they had to get past the USA for Gold. And they couldn't.
it was a great race...11:30PM I was yelling after watching them pull it out and my wife came downstairs to make sure everything was alright...
