LONDON (Reuters) - Eating tuna and other fatty fish may help prevent memory loss in addition to reducing the risk of stroke, Finnish researchers said on Monday.

People who ate baked or broiled -- but not fried -- fish high in omega-3 fatty acids have been found to be less likely to have "silent" brain lesions that can cause memory loss and dementia and are linked to a higher risk of stroke, said Jyrki Virtanen of the University of Kuopio in Finland.

but not fried

Why the heck not fried?
I think this is just the health nuts injecting their opinion because they spend so much time trying to say fat is bad.

My organic chemistry knowledge is a bit weak but I’d take a guess that the Omega 3 fatty acids are easily soluble in vegetable oil and a lot of it would get washed out in the process of frying the fish.

I’ve got 15lbs of bluefish in the fridge maybe I’ll experiment:)

I'll try to remember.

Then you'll try to forget.

A few more days in the fridge and the fish will remind you.

We marinate all our salmon in extra virgin olive oil and spices. There is nothing new in this study. It has been known for a long time that fatty fish, and fish oil, helps with memory loss and many other ailments as well.

Sounds tasty:) I marinate occasionally also, though I’d expect that would have a negligible effect on omega 3 content compared to a full immersion deep fat frying.
