I got a bit carried away with making so many Mission graphics for Amy. I have always loved the Missions and the "stories" behind each one. They just seem to naturally lend themselves to becoming pretty "Sunday at Amy's Place" graphics. California doesn't have a history that goes back very far, and the Missions are glittering jewels in California's past. It's a legacy that Californians are very proud of (especially those of us who are finding it increasingly difficult to find much of anything else to be proud of in this state).
Have a blessed Sunday, each and all.
What a sweet, touching poem you found to go with today’s graphic. I will be saving that one. :-)
Here is one link showing the cost to be $15K:
All I can say is “wow”! I love new technology. We can’t even begin to imagine the goodies people will have a hundred years from now. Computers as we know them today will be obsolete.
Heck, Lori, my computer was obsolete when I took it out of the box. LOL!! (Same with cameras.) You are right, though - look how far we have come in the past hundred years. Just, WOW!
good to see you back!
Yep. And what I am going to miss most about not being here in a hundred years is getting to see what the future will bring technologically, especially in the area of communications.
Peach Cobbler
1 stick butter melted in 9 X 13 pan,
1 c. flour
1 cup sugar
1 T. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
Blend all above ingredients until will mixed
Pour over butter
Empty one large can elberta peaches with juice over batter
Open second can of peaches, and add without juice to other peaches on batter
Bake at 350 for one hour until brown and crispy on top
Thanks for the perfect Sunday graphic, JC! I have forgotten to ping everyone even after my third cup. LOL

Meg that is such a sweet pix.. missing my Cali.. been over a year. Molly McGuire (whom Cali would NEVER let me get near) is now the top cat here.. about 6 years old & a gentle grey tabby.
I used your border for my devot table today. I was looking for something with sunset colors to offset the table (Billie’s) which was all red/multi.
With time I would have done a bit more playing..
Yum Yorkie.. (and I thought this was another Snugs creation).. she whips them out like crazy!
That is so sweet and lovely, Dolly!
Its hard getting it together early, for me! “Ain’t no big thing”. Is it?
I went to church and stopped at grocery store to get stuff to make me a couple of homemade hamburgers that I’ve been craving. Haven’t got them started yet.
I don't hear any complaints about too many Mission graphics! They are wonderful.
Well, thank you. (((((((MEG))))))
By the way ,Cardhu..I haven't been an early riser lately..I have been staying up to watch the Olympics and managed to get my days and nights turned around..It will be bedtime soon..LOL Slowly but surely I'll get semi normal again.
The games are over...
I watched the USA basketball team win the gold in the wee hours...Spain played a great game..
Oh, yes indeed ..I love cobbler.
I saved this because my grandchildren love peach cobbler and this looks like a quick and easy way to make it.
Oh, Dolly..I know you miss Cali..I miss my Purty and it’s been years..I have the sweetest kitty now..such a lady..but I still miss my buddy.
Lovely devotional, Dolly..I’ll be pulling for you this week.
;o)
