Well folks - the day is here! My son, wife and grandaughters will be here in about 4 hours! I haven’t seen them for almost a year! I asked them what they wanted Grammy to fix for them, and they all yelled, “PIE COOKIES!”
So, I’ll be rolling out the pastry for awhile - with a huge smile! I probably won’t be online much for the next four days - so, see y’all on the weekend!

LOL. That is what I thought Amy said too....that Fox news was saying that McCain might pick Hillary. I thought, no....that is NOT possible. I thought I'd entered some kind of weird alternate universe. LOL.
No, FOX was saying that Obama might pick Hillary. That makes much more sense.
Yes, I heard that too. I don't know, it's bad enough having a Republican presidential candidate who many of us are not convinced is firmly on the "right" side of many issues, I think it would be a real mistake to add a vice presidential candidate like Loserman - in the hopes of pulling in some middle of the road fence-sitters. Besides, I lost all respect for Lieberman when he joined Gore's ticket and started spewing the "party line". Since then Lieberman appears to have swung over to the right on some issues, but I don't forget what I hear. He is either a man who has no convictions or a man who was willing to sell them out in order to be on Gore's ticket. I think McCain needs someone firmly locked into the "right" side of the issues to help stabilze the ticket. But that's just MHO. Does that make any sense? If not, nevermind. LOL

Band season is underway & I am off to show tonight. Josy is again troubled with fleas/skin sensitivity.. Had long walk with 2 dogs & friend patty today.. ended with bottomless salad/soup at Chilis.
Trial is next week... prayers requested. Would love to see that sucker thrown out..
Some might recall my niece Tweetie Pie. (who became a family problem a few years ago).. hard times.. she is only 34 & has Cirrhosis of the liver. Her doctor said she would probably have to be on a transplant list (non drinker). I have advised them I am willing to be tested as donor if partial liver might work.
I dont want her interference in our lives here but I dont wish her ill or death.. she has several young children.

Everyone now thinks its Biden. I’m not crazy about him either. He is a big show off, I’ve seen him on the Senate floor. Going on and on and on~~~~
I will tell you I am so afraid about this election. I can’t stand it if Obama beats McCain. Yes, we all say McCain was not our first choice but I’ll take him over Obama any day~

I agree. You know, I said several times, early on, on different threads on FR that I would NEVER vote for McCain. But, when I realized how truly horrifying it would be if Obama were to get elected, I had to go back and rethink this whole thing. I finally came to the conclusion that, because I care so much for our men and women in uniform serving this country, I cannot do anything that might help Obama become their Commander in Chief - therefore, I will have to vote for McCain. I'm not happy about it but, it is what it is.
