Thank you. Lori.
That graphic reminded me of my Mom and my Grandmother.
Billie could have posted yesterday's and today's Welcome Graphics. ;)
She sent both the Graphics and the poems to go with them.
I may be on my own tomorrow. :(

I think that poem reminds all of us of our Mothers, whether they sewed on the old treadle Singers or not.
Yes ... a very touching poem even without the graphic.
Thanks, OESY.

It certainly isn’t surprising that we would lose on a tie.
I felt like they have been unfair to our team. When announcers would say, that is a slight deduction, they would deduct a full point. ON any major errors, it seemed they would deduct the maximum that they could get away with.
I watched a lot of the games while we were on vacation, but have seen very little since we got home.

This makes me angry for our kids!!!

Just heard on Fox, that Hillary may be his VP running mate. I’m not sure whether it was just talking heads or if he is acturally considering it.

I also heard that he may pick Hillary as his VP. I can’t even post what I am thinking.

This makes me angry for our kids!!! Yes, me too. Their new and improved "tie breaker" system is so convoluted and difficult to understand that the announcers couldn't even explain it. But, when it all got "computerized" out, in the end, our gymnast got silver, China's got gold. Go figure.
And another thing that is really irritating me is the age of China's athletes. They are supposed to be at least 16 years old. Many of them look about thirteen. I am just not convinced that they aren't changing their documents to make it appear that they are older than they really are. With all eyes on China, they know they MUST win every gold medal they can in order to look good to the world. I feel so badly for their athletes and the pressure it puts on them. This has always been the case for athletes from the communist countries. They do not compete for themselves, they compete entirely for the "state". And who knows what the actual consequences are if they don't perform well?
To: JustAmy
WHO’s running mate??? McCains? That can’t be right. Are they serious? I’ve never heard anything so shocking in my life.
To: JustAmy
Mmmm, that chicken looks goooood! Can’t wait to try that recipe. I checked my calendar yesterday....only one more month of summer left. I hope everybody makes the most of what’s left. It always flies by all too quickly.
To: Mama_Bear
Ooops ..... sorry. No Obama’s.
McCain does some stupid stuff, but I hope he isn’t that stupid. I’ve heard he may possibly pick Sore Loserman; can that be?

It seems that our athletes are always at a disadvantage when it comes to the games being hosted by a Communist country.

LOL!! Thanks for clearning that up. Sheesh, I thought I had entered the Twilight Zone or some alternate universe, or something. LOL
To: JustAmy
You mean, McCain may pick Hillary.....the American people won’t have it.
I’ve been thinking Obama might pick Hillary. This is the scenario I cooked up in my mind. Hillary is going to speak Tuesday night (convention). Bill is supposed to speak Wed. night. I was thinking “maybe stupidly” that Obama would have Bill, after he gives his scheduled speech say “The next President of the United States, Barack Obama, has asked me to introduce his Vice-President, my wife, Hillary Clinton. I think up all kinds of junk.
To: derllak
Hello, Derllak. Great to see you. Happy Tuesday!
I thought that recipe sounded pretty good.
Yep ... summer is almost gone.
PrissyMissy starts school tomorrow.
Her pool is put away until next year.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
