Just an accident, like the exact position of the earth, the type of sun, the size of the moon, the location of the gas giants, the sun’s position in the galaxy, the type of galaxy, on and on - all accidental.

Here is the meat and potatoes of this sparse meal:
“The kind of evidence we are finding does suggest that climate change at the end of the last Ice Age was the result of a catastrophic event,” said study team member Ken Tankersley, an anthropologist at the University of Cincinnati.”
See, comets are external forces and not natural processes so that explains why all climate change of a similar order must be caused by some aggravating agent.

They found the diamond-bearing Kimberlite pipes in Canada by retracing the path of the glaciers from the glacial deposits where the stray/transported diamonds were found.
Nothing unusual for geologists working with glacial deposits.
Same situation ocurred in Ohio, there is no reason to invoke a comet to explain it.

Plunder lost when the Great Ice Ship brought my ancestors to earth? Thor dropped his hammer through the deck causing a hole in the hull. Yeah, thats it. It all occured during the final approach to Norseland.

[one 'nano' = 1 over a billion = 1/1,000,000,000]
"Scientists began to seriously ponder the presence of diamonds in space in the l980s, when studies of meteorites that crashed into Earth revealed lots of tiny nanometer-sized diamonds. Astronomers determined that 3 percent of all carbon found in meteorites came in the form of nanodiamonds. If meteorites are a reflection of the dust content in outer space, calculations show that just a gram of dust and gas in a cosmic cloud could contain as many as 10,000 trillion nanodiamonds."

New chemical analyses of diamond, gold and silver found in Ohio and Indiana reveal the minerals were transported there from Canada several thousand years ago. The question is, how? Looks like that time-travel Tiffany's heist didn't work out.
