Isn’t he cute. I fell in love with him when I found him.
He kinda reminds me of Max.

Hey ... Dutchess. Good to see you.
We may not get to see pictures until this weekend.
I think MamaBear is going to be busy for the next few days. :)
Great to hear a little of your get-together.

home.. but night mare trip. including one mile hike thru soy & corn fields to get to farm house (completely dead area for cell).. when Bill’s car went caput.
4.5 hours wait for AAA grrr.
Now to face mom in few minutes who is going to be no doubt very POd that I did NOT take her hearing aids for the 3PM appt for servicing.
sigh
What a wonderful time
dutchess.. your home is awesome.. I am touched you & Mr. D made my pups so welcome. Your neighbor Cindy was quite nice.
your yard.. great.. your decor .. great.. your......house.. welll.. so unique & desirable..
I slept well & will post a few “renegade” pix at WA prior to those that Lor/Jeff i will post here (and will email you link)
Spent about an hour puttsying around your county seat & took lots of pix... of the “street, courthouse, old buildings - stopped at the “lake” in NW corner of your county.. quite impressive... for dammed man made lake.
okay.. off to “face mom” .. wish me luck everyone!

I keep hearing your poem, “I’m Flying”, in Mary Martin’s voice.
“Look at me, way up high,
Like a bird, in the sky ...
I’m Flying!”
Now, how many times could I have seen Peter Pan?

Good evening, NnB.
Thank you for the recycled poem that I used today. I still have some good stuff saved. :)
Hope you are having a wonderful Summer.

I've always thought that Summer was wonderful anyway.
But yes, I am having a wonderful summer. Working on a book or two at the moment.
For contrast, check out my poem called "Look At Me! I'm Flying!"
Look At Me! Im Flying!
Look at me! Im flying! was what my young one said,
And sure enough, I saw the clouds of Glory round his head.
His vision unimpeded, I watched him swoop and soar,
His landing gear did Touch-and-Goes across the kitchen floor.
I picked him up, and swung him round. He held his arms out straight,
An aeronautic acrobat, in sight of Heavens Gate.
Ive flown, myself, and I had pride, that Man had conquered flight,
While He who rules the Heavens smiled in humor at the sight,
And held His hand to guide us, as we reached out in trying,
He lifted us, as we did Him, for Look at me! Im flying!

Special note: In this poem, I pretend that I have a son. I'm allowed to do that. I have a license.

Hi Amy. Thanks for the sweet doggie pic. Really missed you not being here with Lori. Had fun talking about our Columbus visit.
I LOVE that MissyPrissy is taking golf lessons. I see her as very self motivated and also competitive. A good combination. (although...I could also see her singing on american idol :o) )))
Thanks for reviving Amy's Place. It's a great oasis!!!

Loved this, NNB! Thanks!!!

Would you believe she was a little self conscience yesterday?
Today, she seemed to feel comfortable there.
She is singing a solo verse in church on Sunday. She asked that if I took the camera, would I please not show it to anyone except Grampa and Uncle Just.
She definitely has a mind of her own. She wants to do everything HER way. What will I do in 4 or 5 years? Hoping for the golf course or summer play house. She will probably be a hippie. :)
I’m enjoying Amy’s Place .... I just need to realize that I cannot always spend as much time here as I would like to.
Hugs

I’m always thinking happy thoughts.
It elevates my mood, at least.
Fr’instance ... Am I the only one who realizes that magnets and looking glasses are magic?

"Are your books poems or novels?" I have a friend who is writing a whole book-length story as a poem.
I have the conceit that I could do the same, but I cannot imagine anyone having a reason to read it.
Accordingly, the books I'm working on are novels. It gives me the opportunity to develop characters, unusual situations, and outrageous ideas.
I haven't given up on producing books of poetry, but they would be collections of discrete poems. (Discreet as well. I save the non-discreet for the novels.)

Hi all. Mama_Bear and I are just checking in before turning in for the night. We've had a busy day. Went riding mostly. Toured all the "country roads" in the area, saw Mr. WV's four churches, say KET and Chester briefly, then back to my church. JK is taking pictures like a.....like a....photographer. We had Mexican food at Ponchos for supper, and then I bored them to death with home videos. Lori is tired and now I'm feeling guilty because I made them go so much today.
Tomorrow will be better. We will "walk" everywhere. LOL. The grand tour of our hometown, and the Delta Queen will be in town. Pray that it doesn't rain. Lori says hi to everyone.
Good night all. God bless
Nan & Lori

Thank you for your Compliments on my Lord's Day Graphic,
Billie! I Found that I could Go to One of those Banner Makers on the 'Net, Type in my Scriptures, and Get a Beautiful Font; what a Blessing! I'm still Thrilled by my New Discovery, Lol. (Now, if I could just Learn how to Make Glittery Graphics Like I've been Wanting to; Someday I'm Going to Find the Time for All these Neat Things!) : )
