street view is not available for every city or map. try a different city...
Something is going on at Google. Last night and this morning someone has hacked either Google or The American Spectator. When I try to go to the Spectator website I get a warning message (seemingly from Google) saying it is a “known attack site.” This has never happened to me before.
Google Maps Street View is working okay here.
Seems they were filming street scenes with kids playing basketball and such. Parents got upset. Google claimed they would delete people but,.....
I just google mapped my house and I still can see it through Street View. Maybe some communities asked it to be taken down, but ours is still viewable.
I basically agree with you as far as a view of my house from the street goes. But I think we have a reasonable expectation of privacy with respect to what goes on in our back yards, our porches, and anywhere behind a fence, and thus cannot be viewed from the street. The idea that a satellite can take a view of my back porch from 23,000 miles up and publish those pictures is, I think, an inherent violation of my privacy.
I figured out street view.
map something and look to the left where the Zoom In and Zoom out thing is.. you will see an Orange guy at the top of it.. and you just drag him to your specified location, and it will make the full screen street view.. it’s pretty cool you can go wide-screen now and if you hold down the N on the compass at the top you can rotate 360 instantaneously.
