Plenty of the rather pedestrian wines, I must confess.

What's a "pedestrian" wine? One that goes walkabout all by itself? Maybe we could give some a map to 'Face's Place and save her the expense driving her truck.

Or is it a wine who grapes were trod upon by T-C & Tulip * Their Ilka in their special stain-proof (or at least long-term stain-tolerant) vat garb???

I think a pedestrian wine is one you can drink while strolling about the neighborhood, without getting sufficiently spiffled to forget the way home.

I have to confess that I was not involved in the Grape Pressing of the Good Old Days, as I was Gargantuanly Pregnant at the time and all agreed that the uniform would be unflattering.

Ah, yes, but now .... ?

... anyway, pedestrian, as I employ it here, means ordinary.

Hm.. Guess the Viennese glu:hwein (Weihnnachstpunsch) doesn't count then. A few of those and you don't even want to remember the way home... *\;-~

While I may be pregnant now, I am not Gargantuan.

Well yes, of course, but that's how I was applying it too.

. law with immediate jurisdiction: with immediate jurisdiction, as opposed to jurisdiction by delegation or deputation
And they were properly assigned to the task by the vintner ordinary...

Yeah. I hate having gender confusion.

Boot to an XP disk (SP2 or later), fire up the Recovery Console, hit the "R" option, and it should fire off the "Restore" process.

Yeah...I knew about that...

What I was thinking of was a process for tricking XP into "Recovering" an XP install that it might normally regard as being beyond recovery.

I'll just have to do more digging, then let you know what it was.

As he has every reason ta be...

It's fairly "How The Irish Saved Civilzation" all over again.

Hey, Irish -- if ye're lurkin' -- tell all the descendants of my ancestors' neighbors "Well done!"

Legoland AND the beach on the same day??

So that's life at six figures plus, eh?? ;-)

Seriously, last time I took the family to Legoland, we bought discount tix at COSTCO (there's one RIGHT next door to Legoland, actually), and it STILL cost me enough that we determined to make an entire day of it. I just don't have the fiscal disposition to drop that kind of change only to split the establishment some time after mid-day. No chance. If I lay out that much cabbage, we're there for the duration; first in, last out.

We priced out a family visit to The Tragic Kingdom in Anaheim: darn near $700 — for ONE flippin’ DAY! Yeah, there are six of us, but OY VEY!

FWIW, Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park is a FAR better deal at just $200 for my whole crew.

Did neither this trip, though. Went over to a couple of different BBQ/pool parties Friday and Sunday, and visited with friends; spent this afternoon at the Discovery Science Center right there next to Main Place in Santa Ana; brother's 40th b-day is tomorrow; then I hit the road for home on Wednesday.

One thing we DID do this trip is hit up Johnny Rebs’ in Orange for some southern-style cooking. Good stuff, IMO. Y'oughta get over there if your out on the 55 freeway around dinnertime. On the south side of Chapman, East of the freeway a few blocks. One of a handful of places around where you can get for real hushpuppies, sweet potato fries, fried okra, and some darned good barbecued ribs. Not a cheap joint, but you get a real platter full for your money, so you'd best show up HUNGRY. Oh, and one other thing: from the outside, the way they've done the place it LOOKS like it's a condemned building, or abandoned, or at least oughta be. Don't let it throw ya; it's part of the whole southern motif.

That was a “maybe” on the potential Chickadee. Information is pending.

And good morning, everyone. I’m going to run as soon as I eat my toast.

There’s a switch to make the registry think that setup hasn’t run yet. That’s about the closest I can think of.
