Good morning.
Truckloads of prayers for the beautiful state of Iowa, its wonderful people, and for all others affected by the terrible weather events and flooding.
Whew!! I’ve been searching the Chat Category to see where everybody was.
Thanks for setting me straight, Jem. I’m going to take my coffee out to the Terrace. If the knats are as bad as they were yesterday, I won’t last long.
Good morning to everyone!

Good morning everybody, thanks for the ping Molly.
And, it being Friday, please wear red to show your support for our troops.
Jem, I’ve been out of range of news this week. How is the seige in Afghanistan going, have you heard? I read that Taliban is surrounding a city there to take it back, and our troops are in harms way. I should remember the name of the city, but it’s too early and my coffee hasn’t quite kicked in.
We had our problems with the hurricane but those folks in the floods are really catching it, my prayers out to each and every one of them for sure.
Our preacher took the workers on our church fishing yesterday on a charter boat, they caught 80 SHARKS, they did not know they could eat them but got their pictures taken, something to show the folks back home.
NOthing better than a couple of FRESH eggs for breafast each morning, day old eggs, lots of goooood taste, ahhhhh, my chickens, my ladies of the yard (and thanks to Bill for his part too).
I am wanting to get out in the yard to do some work, kids won't let me, I will go along with them (with pleasure).
Where has every one gone lately, come on folks, get involved!!!!
Toby
That flood water is headed your way, Toby. NOW is the time to prepare.
Hello is anyone home....where is everyone?
Ok now that I have hijacked this thread.... I think dancing girls are in order.
I wonder if I am on the wrong thread...
Here ya go.:-)
OMG those poor girls are dressed head to toe....they may get heat stroke or something.
LOL
Hi Dogster
Howdy ma’am.
You go, girl! LOL!
Thadilllarnhim!
IG, get some original listerine, put it in a spray bottle and spray the area, even spray some on yourself, the knats and misquotes don’t like it. enjoy your coffee on the terrace, with a doughnut. of course. I had one this am, and it was wonderful...tommorow...eggs and ham....
So far today, I’ve been told to use Skin So Soft from Avon (it doesn’t work for me,, in fact I think it attracts knats), I’ve also been told to pin Downy dryer sheets to my clothes (which is fine if you live in an isolated area, but I don’t), so I’ll give that a try later and I’ll give your Listerine a try.
I just HATE having knats climbing around on my scalp. I don’t like them in my ears, nose and eyes, either.
I’m a great-aunt again. This morning my oldest niece had her first child, a boy. 8lbs 13 oz, red hair. I’ll go tomorrow and see them.
