My dear friends at PETA are at it again.
I must say, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals certainly spares no expense in pushing its cause. Over the years Ive received dozens of mailers and packets about how we should be nice to animals and not eat meat. As a certified meat eater, I usually toss them.
The latest mailing came in the form of a packet including pages of documentation and a DVD. This one caught my interest because it included 30 reasons to go vegetarian. I thought I would share some of these reasons with you, along with my personal commentary. SNIPLET Because heart disease begins in childhood. Because a vegan diet reverses heart disease. Because eating meat and dairy products makes you fat. Because in every package of chicken, theres a little poop. Because meat is filthy and bloody. Because it isnt fair. Because no living creature wants to see her family slaughtered. Because eating meat and dairy products causes impotence. Because you wouldnt eat your dog. Because mad cow disease is in the U.S. Because its violence that you can stop. Because no one should have to kill for a living. Because it takes a small person to beat a defenseless animal
and an even smaller person to eat one. Because no animal deserves to die for your taste buds. Because the grain used to feed animals could be used to feed hungry people. Because more than half of all water used in the U.S. is used to raise animals for food. Because you cant eat meat and call yourself an environmentalist. Because theyre defenseless. Because no matter how you slice it, its still flesh. Because commerce is no excuse for murder.

Shows the real stupidity of PETA who are probably Obamatized moron voters.
Have you noticed that the MSM run to PETA on EVERY animal-related story, even though PETA are simply a group of individuals who share an opinion like Cleveland Browns fans or trumpet players?
A veterinarian I can understand, even a Humane Society rep. PETA, on the other hand have no expertise to speak of just a bunch of shrill voices.
Do you have an account/password to share so we can read the article?
“Because no living creature wants to see her family slaughtered”
Other than humans no other creature has cognitive powers and remembers and correlates such things. People mistake instinct for the human trait of compassion and memory.
The front set of human teeth are designed for ripping flesh. The molars may grind vegetables into a fine pulp, but those canines and such? Either God or Nature thinks that humans should eat meat. Good enough for me.
And if you need a second reason, well, it's the "Circle of Life", isn't it? Animals are wonderful, of course, and even they eat animals. The Circle of Life means that the slower, weaker animal is lunch.
PETA has as much to do about protecting animals as the Peace Movement promotes peace. Both have radical agendas that have nothing to do with their cover story.
In PETA’s case, the whole goal behind the orginization is to minimize the importance of human life by considering us as just another animal who has no more rights than any other animal on the planet.
Quite telling, is the fact that PETA members support human abortion almost unaminously, which is sheer hypocrisy, since they support no limits on animal reproduction.
I believe that this movement originates from the Club of Rome/Limits of Growth crowd. By emasculating animal existance, they can justify limiting human population on the earth.
Sorry i thought it was linked...

The Freeper Version of PETA - People Eating Tasty Amimals........
I have one reason for not going vegetarian...I like the taste of meat.
Because a vegan diet reverses heart disease. Many of my meat-eating relatives died of old age, and not a heart-attack.
Because eating meat and dairy products makes you fat. I personally know two fat vegetarians. I also know many skinny or normal-weighted meat-eaters.
Because in every package of chicken, theres a little poop. As on tomatoes, spinach and a whole host of other vegetables, apparently.
Because meat is filthy and bloody.Filthy - only if you drop it in the dirt. Bloody - duh, it's meat.
Because it isnt fair. Tell that to the impala as the leopard is chewing through the impala's throat while the impala is still alive.
Because no living creature wants to see her family slaughtered. But many will flee willy-nilly to get away from a predator without regard to the "children".
Because eating meat and dairy products causes impotence. Then why are there so many of us?
Because you wouldnt eat your dog. I also wouldn't just kill him and leave him in a dumpster, either.
Because mad cow disease is in the U.S. I'll take the odds of dying from mad cow versus being put out on the street as the result of some insane liberal policy - most likely linked to bogus science.
Because its violence that you can stop. See "Impala vs. Leopard" above.
Because no one should have to kill for a living. No one has to, but many choose to.
Because it takes a small person to beat a defenseless animal See Roe v. Wade and get back to me.
and an even smaller person to eat one. But wait, I thought all meat-eaters were fat...
Because no animal deserves to die for your taste buds. No, just the ones I want to eat.
Because the grain used to feed animals could be used to feed hungry people. See "ethanol as fuel to save the planet" and get back to me.
Because more than half of all water used in the U.S. is used to raise animals for food. And, what about the amount to grow fruits, nuts, and veggies?
Because you cant eat meat and call yourself an environmentalist. Why not? Al Gore certainly eats meat. Are you saying Al Gore doesn't actually care about the environment?
Because theyre defenseless. See Roe v. Wade and get back to me.
Because no matter how you slice it, its still flesh. What part of "meat" confuses you?
Because commerce is no excuse for murder. But communism is?
“Because you wouldnt eat your dog.”
No, but I’d eat my rabbit!
Moot point, as I have neither dog nor rabbit, but I’m told by those with experience that members of the canine family tend to be very stringy and cause stomach upset.
“Because eating meat and dairy products causes impotence. Then why are there so many of us?”
Now, now. Don’t go getting logic in their idealism.
PETA hates America.
Here is his replies to the because:
"The latest mailing came in the form of a packet including pages of documentation and a DVD. This one caught my interest because it included 30 reasons to go vegetarian. I thought I would share some of these reasons with you, along with my personal commentary.
Because heart disease begins in childhood. If thats the case, then why would I stop eating meat now? Of course, heart disease will have to duke it out with the skin cancer Im sure I got from the annual sunburns of my youth.
Because a vegan diet reverses heart disease. But will it do anything about that looming skin cancer?
Because eating meat and dairy products makes you fat. Actually, eating too much of anything makes you fat. Pound down plate after plate of Brussels sprouts every day and see if you dont pack it on, Porky.
Because you shouldnt have to lie to your kids about the food you eat. What? Do you think that would stop my son from eating pepperoni pizza or my daughter from enjoying hamburgers? Hey kids, meat comes from animals. Well, that didnt stop them.
Because in every package of chicken, theres a little poop. Its called protein, OK? Seriously, theres this thing called water, and I use it to rinse meat off before I cook it. Problem solved.
Because meat is filthy and bloody. See the last response.
Because it isnt fair. Hey, life isnt fair. Paying taxes isnt fair. The fact that I am not a rock start isnt fair. Dont get me started!
Because no living creature wants to see her family slaughtered. Im sorry, I was eating a pork chop and missed that one.
Because eating meat and dairy products causes impotence. What! (I yell, spitting out my pork chop). Actually, thats a scare tactic and one that probably works on some men. Thank goodness cavemen didnt know this or we might not be here.
Because you wouldnt eat your dog. No, I wouldnt, but my dog would sure eat me in a pinch. In fact, both of my dogs have been giving me the eye lately. Maybe I should drop a few pounds.
Because mad cow disease is in the U.S. But California has happy cows, right?
Because its violence that you can stop. In order for me to eat an animal, it must be killed. Im sorry, thats the way it is.
Because no one should have to kill for a living. Hey, no one is forcing them to work at a slaughterhouse. Im sure PETA has jobs for everyone with good pay and benefits.
Because it takes a small person to beat a defenseless animal and an even smaller person to eat one. Earlier you called me fat. Which is it, big or small?
Because no animal deserves to die for your taste buds. Its called the food chain.
Because the grain used to feed animals could be used to feed hungry people. So could meat.
Because more than half of all water used in the U.S. is used to raise animals for food. And some is used to wash down a good steak.
Because you cant eat meat and call yourself an environmentalist. OK.
Because theyre defenseless. Have you ever wrestled a pig? Theyre pretty tough.
Because no matter how you slice it, its still flesh. Yes, it is, and quite tasty when prepared correctly.
Because commerce is no excuse for murder. Killing animals for food is murder? In which state?
Because eating fish doesnt make you a vegetarian. Youve got that right. It makes you a fish eater.
Because even prisons arent this crowded. Have you seen our prisons? Have you?
Because everyone wants to be free. Very true. I want to be free of PETAs constant nagging, for example.
Because you know this is wrong. No, eating meat is not wrong. It is natural and humans have been doing it since they have been in existence. What is wrong is trying to make us feel guilty for doing it".
We fired our guns and they begin to runnin...
In 1814 we took a little trip
Err...wrong thread PETA wonks.
Will send it on to an attorney friend who works for Child Protective Services in San Diego.
The stories he tells about the abuses of CPS are scary.
PEITA... Hmmmm... that name rings a bell...
