There are plastic plates available at those Party supply places, which are much stronger than the ‘pretty’ paper plates. I saw some once that had a lace filligre (sp?) cut-out on the edges. Also the clear ones are nice.

No one was hurt when the bridge floated away in Waterloo.

A charger plate is larger than a dinner plate. Serving plates are placed on it when changing courses. It’s like a placemate plate. ;-)

Hi, Kassie. How are you feeling today?

Another warning, my post-op depression starts about day 2.5 or 3 after the op. I find it’s easier to deal with those feelings if I can keep that in mind.

Lysie, thanks for the info.

Projects have begun already. I’ll be in and out.

My cousin in AL only uses charger plates. In between meals her table looks so elegant with them placed around. She uses white and her dinner plates are green and blue. Looks really nice.

GOOD A.M. TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE WARM, MAKE THAT DOUBLE WARM MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, KATRINA FUNDS BEING HELB BACK AND SOME CUT OFF, ABOUT TIME TOO. You would be surprised how many folks they find that are from the states from up north just for the ‘gimmie’ dollars,

Well, good and bad day at the hospital over in New Orleans yesterday. they found the reason for the severe pain in my tummy, retention of fluids, 100 CC’s and they put another drain in, the drain bottle is filling up as we talk.

The GOOD news is something the doc said he had never seen, been in the business for a lot of years. My annerism(?) is SRINKING, from 4.9 mm TO 4.1 mm, He can not explain how this is being done but I know, by the Lord's hands.

Have one complaint, not a good looking nurse in the bunch, last time I was over there the sight sure was pretty.

We go back to court over Kaleb on the 22, keep this in prayer for sure on this as this little fellow is the gold in my heart.

lysie, guess what I just did, yep had me a big ole bowl of steaming grits, I KNOW I will feef much better soon after that sitting (southern for sitting down to a meal).

Got to admit, the girls are spoiling me a little, GD comes over and makes my bed and cleans my ‘shack in the back’, D keeps me in hot food, SIL has taken over in cutting the grass but I am starting to get the feeling they are gonna stop soon. Oh well, it will MAKE me get active (or else).

All have a good and safe day, stay cool and dry (if possible).
Toby

She has a contract offer but the only problem it’s in an area that’s pretty remote and small town. She’s hoping to find something mid-TX, but will have to let the other place know before then....leap of faith time donchaknow.

The school where she’s been offered is great, so it would be a great first year experience for a new teacher.

Much to pray about...

by the Lord's hands

God is faithful.

Now we just have to do something about finding you some cute nurses!

Speaking of Katrina people, we sure have a lot here in the Houston area still living off the fat of the land. In my daughter's old neighborhood, there was a woman who has 5 or so children (all from different husbands) who hasn't found a job yet. All her children are in school, so babysitting was never a problem, but laziness seems to be!

Jemian my back is so sore today. Was yours? And did you have bloating? Goodness, I hope this goes away. Other than that, I feel great.

kassie, I’ve not had the procedure, but it’s possible that your back may be sore from being positioned on the operating table....

Also some bloating occurs from things being manipulated during the procedure and also possibly the anesthesia itself. If you get really distended or uncomfortable of course you should call your doctor right away.

If we keep randomly wishing you a Happy Birthday we’ll eventually hit on the right day.

It might take 15 years....

Thank you Dolly, I can never read OhioWFan's journal entry without crying. Her faith is so strong, not only in our Lord, but in our troops and our country. The conbination is a real trigger for weeping for me.

I will not go into the way I feel about our media and the hateful reporting on this war. I'm not going there, I'm not going there....

Jem, chargers are an underplate often a different color or material that makes the dinner plate stand out.

I've seen picnic ware in Costco or Sam's that looked like fine china with matching silverware that is reall plastic. My sil used it for Easter dinner when we had 30 people there.
