Happy Birthday!!!!!
Good Morning to the dawn patrol@
Hope you are charged.
Prayers for Greg’s neice, good morning everybody.
Good morning, ladies!
Mornin’ Jemian! I’d have checked in last evening except we had computer gremlins in our wireless network that Mr. Prairie fought until midnight. I do believe he defeated them though.
Daughter goes to yet another job fair today. This process is like being on a roller coaster except without the fun.
I’m going to catch up on what laundry there is this morning as we’ll be on the road tomorrow for the next destination.
Good morning IG. An associate emailed us some pix of the flooding, I haven’t had a chance to see them yet but Mr. Prairie says it’s breathtaking.
Glad you are high and dry and well-stocked.
Has your daughter lined up a position, prairie?
Good job for Mr. Prairie, getting those gremlins vanquished. Gremlins are persistent.
The job hunt is never easy for the hunters but it is really hard on parents, too. I never know quite what to say.
I think today will be an indoor day for me, too. I have a whole bunch of tasks that need doin’. The youngest, however, wants to go clothes shopping. Ugh.
I have a couple of questions for y’all:
What are plate chargers? I saw some at Hobby Lobby yesterday and they looked like large plates to me. What is makes it a “charger”?
Also, I am looking for relatively cheap but elegant picnic plates and flatware. Any ideas? I thought I’d look at Chinenetts web page, but apparently I don’t spell the name correctly. Help!
Go find one of those Paper Supply places in a strip mall. They geneally have quite a variety of things. Surely you’ll find something satifactory.
A railroad bridge was swept away in Waterloo, IA. There are a lot of distressed people here. The mental turmoil is nearly as damning as the water damage.
I’m dithering. Can paper plates be nice enough for a rehearsal dinner?
Morning Jemian.. I know you feel great to be home & doing the yard & house things again .. is hubby with you?
We have some of these outlet places for paper, fancy party items etc.. sometimes the prices are really good. Most of them have “party” in their name.
If any of your “supporters” has a vendor’s license you might be able to get wholesale price at some of the caterer supply houses. can start by calling caterers & asking or just check on line for supply houses.
I found when as a tean son Jeff (I know guys are different than girls) wanted to shop, it was easier on both of us to just give him ____ dollars for things. If he wanted to blow it all on pair of designer jeans or athletic shoes, so be it.
It was sooooo much easier than nit picking with him on every item
Once he found the good second hand stores, he shopped there & pocketed the difference. By knowing he had to budget the $$ he was more chosey rather than thinking he had a bottomless pit of $ to draw from AND often he realized he really didn’t need anything, but that was the money & that was ALL of the money he would get.
Was anyone hurt when that bridge was swept away? Prayers continue for the people hurt.
In March ‘07, our town was hit by torrential rains and many bridges were swept away. Our town is still recovering. I was totally amazed by the power that water could wield.
Yes, hubby is here. He arrived on Saturday. The youngest and I had arrived the previous Sunday.
I might do that with the youngest; give her the money and suggest she take one of her friends. That would be much nicer on me.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIT! I hope it really is your birthday this time :-) I can remember one year when every day was your birthday here at FR!
Ohio’s governor sent a message, huh? :-)
