I have an interesting photo for our times of financial distress among many, but I don't know how to post it. Any help?
post < img src=”IMAGE URL”> (delete the space after the first bracket.)
Is the photo stored on your computer, or on a web server on the Internet?
The code for the above is the link http://i2.tinypic.com/orrq12.jpg surrounced by img src=" on the left, and closed with " / on the right, and then whole piece of html code enclosed by < > .
The photo is in my digital camara/mass storage device.
You gotta use the pic's URL.
Try pasting this...

I give up, never mind.
This ahs always been a problem for me and after all this helpfyl advice, I still dont know how to post a photo.
Whats a photo bucket.
That’s funny :)
Then, after you upload to your Photobucket album, you'll see a listing under the picture in the album view that says "Direct Link"
Copy the URL from the Direct Link box and past it in your Free Republic post. For example: http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn307/blueronin44/zealot.jpg
Then add <img src="
in front, and ">
after.
It will look like:<img src="http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn307/blueronin44/zealot.jpg">
Then, hit the POST button, and put on your flame-retardant jammies in anticipation of replies! :-)
see my post #15 about photobucket.com
It hosts your photos that you upload, so you can post them here.
We’ll try to make this easy.
The first step is to upload your picture to a web server.
The easiest place I know to do that is here: http://www.tinypic.com
On that page, click the “Choose File” button and find your image file on your storage device. Then click the “Upload Now” button.
After the picture finishes uploading, your web browser will show a text box labeled “Direct Link for Layouts”. It contains the URL for the uploaded image. Copy that URL and paste it into this thread, and someone will figure out the HTML code needed to embed the image in this page so that everyone can see.
Good luck.
One other note - tinypic.com does not require you to create a new account before using it.
I’m surprised more people don’t use the free web space (that comes standard with pretty much all ISP’s) to host web content.
