Indeed..I found out the fox mom like peanuts when I had them out for the raccoon male..and she gobbled them down after cracking the shell.
I have had a fox and a raccoon on the patio at the same time. They did not bother each other. I was amazed.

You too, jaycee?!!! YAY!!!! If I'd only known that I had someone who shares my Taylor obsession with! I didn't ever get involved in the American Idol threads here, and though I watched Season 2 through Season 5 American Idol, I never ever followed a winner's career the way I have with Taylor. The others just weren't on my radar. I want every piece of music Taylor ever sings or records!

"Ah was booorn by th' rivah, in a little tent...." :) The southern drawl that comes through in so many of his words just adds to his charm. "The Right Place" is probably the best one on that cd. Do you like it?

Yes, Billie, the year he won...I’m telling you if he hadn’t won they would have had to shoot me. My son, his wife and one of the granddaughters were crazy about him and rooted for him week after week. He just had IT! He really is a good looking guy and I loved the way he moved around (a bit different from others). I actually haven’t heard much about him lately...some reports said he hadn’t done as well as they had hoped....you know how that goes! Like I said I was glad to know he was on Broadway....cause I thought he was drifting away.

I did like some songs on the C.D. but I love his romantic style of singing that he did some on American Idol. I did like The Right Place. I think the year he won was the best. I don’t watch all the Reality shows but I keep watching Idol. I watch the silly stuff in the beginning of the season just to see people make fools of themselves and I get some good laughs. This past season I liked the blonde girl, I believe Brooke was her name. But she didn’t make it. My son and his wife were happy with the David that won. I wasn’t into him as much as they were. Different age groups!! LOL~~

oh Lady Jag...this cute photo had me laughing!
My granddaughter is in the hospital going through some intense therapy for OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) She absolutely is horrified of germs. (to the point of stealing handwipes in a store during a recent therapy session! sigh)...

Well one of the assignments she has each day is peeling and eating a orange and leaving her hands sticky for a hour, while touching the floor! When I saw this photo , I had to chuckle... Oh Shelby would love this as she would wish EVERY orange to be juiced and tossed at this point!!! LOL

Polly, that’s exactly what I was thinking of when I made that comment, Mr. Rogers’s opening song.

I haven't cared a thing about Idol the last two years. Watched it off and on but didn't really care who won. Taylor's cd wasn't promoted by the label, didn't get radio play, but performing live is where he shines, and he had two successful tours last year. He's been on TV several times, and has been included in several celebrity golf tournaments & sports events, where he doesn't sing, but is one of the 'celebrities' asked to appear and charity benefits where he does perform. It's not all about radio play or album sales numbers. :)

Anyway, this is one of his Pre-Idol songs he wrote - I love the instrumentals and the beat about as much as the vocals. Thought you might enjoy it. It will probably be on the cd of early works being released in August.

Thanks for 'letting' me share something I enjoy! :)

Heart and Soul ~ Taylor Hicks

Alrighty, Yorkie. The Vassar Clements and Del McCoury rendition is awesome. Vassar calls the Orange Blossom Special the “fiddle player’s national anthem.”

That big fella from the Clinch Mountain Boys sure can play; I like his style. All-star lineup, they’re all good. I’m just a hayseed at heart, love some good fiddlin’.

Yorkie, since you are able to post YouTubes, does this mean you are able to view YouTubes now? The other day, you were not able to.

I can view You Tube videos only on Internet Explorer. They will not open on Mozilla Firefox. I have a couple other friends who have the same problem - so it is a You Tube problem - not my computer. YAY!

Polly - once you use this > the entire post becomes HTML - and you have to do this (without spaces) < p > to make a new paragraph. You have to do this (without spaces) to center < center >, You have to do this (without spaces) to make bold pring < b >

To post the link, you must then do this:

< no space here, a (space) href= that is where you paste the copied link to what you want to post. Then, you put a > and immediately type in what you want to post. You enclose the entire posting with a .

So, if I want to post a link to a song, like the Dueling Banjos, I would go to You Tube, copy the link from my browser bar, and then come back and do this:

and then type in Dueling Banjos and without a space, put this< /a>.

< a href=http://youtube.com/watch?v=esl2NNOtHQE> then type in the name you want to show in your post - enclose it with this (with no space). I hope this helped, Polly.
