How much does it cost to use an ordinary house oven? And does using an oven dramatically affect the output of the house AC unit?

If it’s an electric oven it uses a lot ( switch to natural gas! ). And if your aircon notices the difference, you’d better upgrade your electric service before you possibly have a fire.

You forgot to mention that the oven does not affect the A/C useage near as much in the winter as in the summer :)

How much does it cost to use an ordinary house oven? Depends on the size of the carcass you are trying to cook.
And does using an oven dramatically affect the output of the house AC unit?
Depends on whether you skinned it first or not. If not, your AC unit will probably be trying to output a lot of burned hair and skin.

"How much power does an oven use?"You can calculate this using the power formula P=IV times the cosine of angle theta. Since an oven is a resistive load drop the cosine part. To put this in simple terms, multiply the oven voltage against it's rated current draw and you are in the ball park.

"Depends on whether you skinned it first or not." In my case if was something that needs skining it goes on a grill. So now it is a matter of BTU's used and the degree of pollution as a matter of using charcoal or gas. I do use both depending on the circumstance.

According to
this chart an electric oven uses about 20 cents an hour and a gas oven about 18.

Depends on the size of the carcass you are trying to cook. Well, he's about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs about 180 punds.....
