Thanks lysie for agreeing to make the switch today!
Hi y’all...
Good morning all
Hi snugs! This is a significant weekend for patriotic Americans. Is your Decoration Day like that? Is that the name of the November tribute to those who died in their country’s service? Or is it lke Veteran’s Day, which honors all who served?
The Rev. Wright connection still haunts Obama Michael Barone
OH BOY!!
Will you be traveling far with your cousin?
Now that’s what I call a real breakfast.
A meaningful, reflective, and thankful Memorial Day weekend to all!
45 degrees at the moment, with clear skies forecasted and a high of 70 on the way.
Doing double duty at the moment as I go from school to the Nature Center. (Back at the park again this summer.)
The lilacs are finally coming out but still haven't really popped yet.
Our class did the presentation for Memorial Day yesterday. Sadly enough if we didn't do it no one would. The students did a wonderful job, and understand the importance of this weekend.
No...just around a couple of counties in s.e. Ohio...NY, it’s good to see you! Another school year over!!
You too, el. I appreciate this holiday & its importance more and more....
Thank you. Will do.
Welcome to ATRW.
Good morning.
Thank you for doing that, J.
A couple weeks left of school. I also have a summer school class I will teach for two weeks, and work out at the park.
Son Steven graduates from high school tomorrow. He will attend a community college in Wausau. Where does the time go?
It seems all holidays, nowdays, turns into sales days.
Thank you All who serve and have served our great country. Remember at 1500 hours on Monday to take a moment and remember those who have paid the full price for our freedom.
I don't always get a chance to post, but I continue to love your breakfast displays. Thanks for doing such a great job of that.
I will have the Nature Center decorated with flags. Our family always attends the Memorial Service at one of our city parks. It's simple but very dignified.
We have a service at the Royal Albert Hall on the Saturday and the Sunday the Queen and senior politicians, members of the services, ancillary services and Scouts and Guides all lay wreaths at the cenotaph after a short service.
Each town also has a memorial service at the Parish church which follows a similar format including Scouts, Guides, cubs Brownies etc attending.
We also have a minutes silence on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month which shows the history that our Remembrance Day comes from the Arminist Day celebrating the end of World War I or the great war as it is often referred to.
On Monday I will post some photos of our remembrance day plus info on it though this is really more apt for your Veterans Day.
I have the honour of doing the dose on Monday which of course will be the official Memorial Day Commemorations I have put together some graphics covering Memorial Days under GWB Presidency which I will post on the dose on Monday but will post on ATRW first in a few minutes.
I know that not all agree with all of his policies especially domestic but there is no doubt his love and support of the military and in return there feelings towards this commander in Chief.
