Industry outsourcing jobs. Illegals overrunning the Nation. Public and private schools at all levels dumbing down criteria. This has been going on for more than 20 years and its coming to a head. Either our elected officials are so sublimely ignorant and frankly mildly retarded, or there is a singular will, a design leading the good people of our country into perpetual poverty and dependance on the "super state". Either way its time to vote the plutarchs out of office. All of them and start anew before it's too late.
>>>Please not another vanity.<<<<<<
Its not even long enough for a vanity. Its more like a passing thought. I am glad everyone doesn’t start a thread with every thought that pops in their head, I’d never have time to read them all....
I thought it was a click to an actual article from a newspaper like the Wall Street Journal or something. Instead it’s a *passing thought* which would be better posted as a comment to an existing thread.
You know you could read the entire tread.

**The only way we can actually restore the republic is through the 2nd Amendment. People should understand that, and prepare either to exercise that right, or accept socialism. There is no other foreseeable choice.**
Exercising the 2nd Amendment is pretty much a suicidal option today with the legal weapons available. I won’t stand in anybody’s way if they want to try.
If the government was taking away my rights and for some reason the Weather Underground was fighting the government I wouldn’t have a problem with it. Since the Weather Underground unlike say the VFW is a known terrorist group I wouldn’t object to the government either taking the plane or destroying it. On the other hand if the Shiners wanted a group of Fighter Planes to fly above parades and if they can get the legal permits and insurance to fly then what the hell. It is a free country isn’t it?
If I want a fully functioning Sherman Tank because I am a part of a WWII group that have pretend battles and I am not a known threat then why not?
Why on earth would anyone have a registered gun?
That may be true, but we have a lot of conservatives in the military who would, I would hope, understand their role with respect to the constitution.
As somebody who has been in the Army I actually have more faith in the National Guard and Reserves than the Active Duty.
If a National Guardsman disobeys an order well what? He has a civilian job and don’t depend on the military for his family support. He has more contact with civilians than the active duty soldier and also knows the area he is living much better than someone on a military base. His unit is pretty easy going vs active duty so if they like the guy well they may cover up.
The active duty person has his family living on base, his pay is usually the sole support of that family. UCMJ is a whole lot scarier to the active duty soldier. You guys are living in Lala land if you think push comes to shove, their families support and jail time on the line that the active duty folks is going to disobey orders.
What proves me right is Jack Murtha. One hundred years ago if someone publicly bad mouth the Marines they would of had to go into hiding. Murtha can call the Marines fairies to their face and he knows not a one will risk their career or jail time to tar and feather Murtha.
The Marines is the key, if they are all up in arms about some liberal idea then it is going to be fine. If they are professional and quiet then forget about the active duty helping you.
Actually I am hoping it never takes place or that the military will support us but don’t count on the Active Duty not to follow the government.
Don’t know when you served but when I served in the 90’s.
About 30% of my Active Duty unit would of thought that Rev. Wright was right on. Another 30% didn’t follow or care about politics. So that would leave about 30% who might have a problem with it.
**For them to be told to direct that toward our own people would be a cause for great alarm within the ranks.**
Ever heard of the NYC draft riots? What about Reconstruction in the South. The Posse Comitatus Act was enacted by Congress and can be repelled by Congress. If you research the recent changes to the act and others you will find that Congress has given the Armed Forces much more leeway.
**Also, the National Guard is far less disciplined, in my opinion.**
Yes and we all know that disciplined forces are more likely to follow orders than undisciplined forces. Look at the German and Japanese Army, the government said jump or commit war crimes and the Army said how high or how many. The very fact that the National Guard is less disciplined the less likely they are to follow orders that goes against the grain.
Remember the Regular Army tanks at Waco.
Actually I do believe that Democrats get at least 30% of the military vote anymore.
As for the Germans or Japanese the key point is that they are followers. Followers can be lead much easier than individuals. From what I have seen of the Army the old troublemakers who made the best soldiers many times I thought is being replaced by followers. Patton couldn’t make it in today’s PC army. The Scots for example could never of done the Holocaust they fought too much among themselves because of the independent spirit.
If the events that we describe take place I will suggest the following. Don’t trust anyone unless you really know them. The guy who talks loudest about the government needing to be taken down a notch or two may be the one that runs quickest to tell the government all he knows.
Second remember Red Dawn, yes it is just a movie but the 2nd Amendment citizen who had the bumper sticker they will pry my rifle from my cold dead hands was killed pretty quickly. On the other hand the kids who ran away to the woods did better. I am not saying head for the hills, if they had hid their weapons and played it cool they could of lived and attacked pretty much under the enemy eyes.
Another thing is that the media will take the government side and you may think you are freedom fighters but the media says you are terrorists then the public won’t support you. There has been times when resistance movements fail at first because the public support isn’t there. It isn’t called the underground for nothing so be willing to wait, go underground and fight smart.
Boy I hope the country can right itself before all this.
LOL! And not only foreign policy but also universal health care, i.c. it's not fair that the government doesn't pay our doctor and hospital bills. Idiots, all!

First off, they still have a CIC that they respect and secondly you do not do something like that until it absolutely becomes necessary as it is an act of treason. I am sure there are a good noumber that would love to do it now, however, now is not the time to do it. On top of that it would mark a change in American history that may or may not be desirable.
Thank You for the correction. I meant Plutocrats. Your on the ball.
