Anybody that wore a headband will have bad hair. Olivia N-J tops the list. Jamie Lee Curtis in Perfect also comes to mind and John Travolta in Staying Alive.

No, he most certainly did not!
He and Peter Gabriel were my two big faves back then.

Where I was at the time, hard drugs and gang warfare didn’t get noticeable untill ‘88 or ‘89. Maybe 87 at the earliest. And didn’t get bad until early 90s. There were still alot of highpaying unskilled jobs available to anyone that wanted them until probably the early eighties and didn’t dry up until I’d say the early nineties.
Also traffic didnt’ get bad until mid nineties. Illegal mexicans didn’t show up until nineties. Cops didn’t get bad attitudes until late eighties/early nineties...about the same time as the crime started to rise. Prostitution was rampant though, until maybe 15 years ago. Pot was rampant too and I assume it still is.
The only serious things I remember happening in the 80s was reagan pulling out of lebanon, the tylenol poisoning scare, paper boys were being abducted and molested and killed, Princess dianna having a baby, and the return of the american made convertible. Some people were having money problems as I remember. But it didn’t affect me or my relatives.
This was in Omaha. I don’t live there anymore.

Don't forget about Mike Reno from Loverboy. He used to wear a headband back in the day, all of the time. Nowadays, well, not so much.

The 1980s Crack Epidemic was the peak period for gang activity in the northeast, and even in LA, violent crime was higher in the 1980s than it is today.
Don't know about Omaha, but I do know that violent crime nationwide FINALLY started declining around 1993, and continued to do so until the recent uptick that began last year.

Oh dear. He was so hot—back in the day. But, weren’t we all?! He’ll never get back into those red leather pants from that album cover, will he?

Second-rate glam/hair metal band. Their lead singer, Jim Gillette, is married to Lita Ford.

For true talent, gimme Yngwie. I saw Yngwie in a nightclub in Boulder in the 90s. His attitude and arrogance were bigger than his talent.
His manager came out, after the three opening acts, and said "Mr Malmstein is not sure if he wants to come out. If you yell 'Yngwie - Yngwie' he Might come out!"
I got the crowd to shout "Refund - Refund!" Yngwie decided he wanted to come out.

Without some of these ladies, there would've been no Fleetwood Mac, B-52's, Pretenders, Heart, and many more.... Girlschool.Kind of like the female version of Motorhead.

I beg to differ. Those guys were amazing -- wrote their own stuff and are still together touring. I agree 100%.

........and they TOTALLY SUCKED, Uncle Meat! (Pardon the language, Sir).
It wasn’t until Nicks, Christine and even Buckingham came into the band that the group garnered much respect, admiration, recognition and fame.

Or Pat Benatar, the most beautiful female voice ever to sing rock-n-roll.
And sorry, Duran Duran was a great band. And the Taylor boys more than proved their talents when they did their gig with Powerstation.
