American psychologists have unearthed a “marital rating scale” used by marriage counsellors in 1939 to assess the performance of wives – and the categories make interesting reading for modern couples brought up to believe in the equality of the sexes.
Women are awarded marks if they dress for breakfast, ask their husband’s opinions on important decisions and let their partners sleep late on Sundays and holidays.....

Seriously, men are so easy and I mean that in the nicest way. They’re the best things ever. A good man is very easy to please. Same as females. They want to be loved and have lots of sex.

So I’m not married, but I know what I’d likely do, so I gave up when my score went somewhere below negative 7 or 8 and I didn’t bother to go on... but I *do* keep wherever I’m living well-stocked with late-night snacks, if that counts for anything.
