I was in such a doggone hurry that I should have mentioned that this is a 1954 recording, (not stereo, of course), of Maria Callas in the leading role. Other singers include Lucia Danieli, Mario Borriello and Nicolai Gedda.

She’s wonderful! I just listed to borrow two of her CDs from the Library. (Hey! It’s MY tax dollars, may as well use them!)

I love Andrea Bocelli, so I don’t know how I’ve missed her so far. :)
