My Dragonfly And Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

~In Flanders Field~
In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD
IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

~Memorial Day~ Flags today in tribute wave For those loyal ones who gave Of their youth, their hopes, their might For a cause they knew was right.
Morning bells sound their call, Pause and say a prayer for all-- All who served valiantly That men might be ever free.
Toll of bells, drums' slow beat-- Silence falls in every street. In each heart swells the plea: Keep us safe, but keep us free!

We Remember
We remember, your answer to your nations call we remember, when so many of you gave your all we remember, so many of you whose blood was shed so the rest of us did not have to dread, a bomb at dawn on our shores, terror in our streets, trembling behind locked doors, lest we open them to an enemy.
Our rights you secured with your life Old Glory, flies freely this day for us it was the price you paid for your fellowman to live in freedom in this great land.
We remember, the price was far to costly the price of war is never cheap lives are spent as families weep, we remember your valor on this day, your precious life was taken away. Hale to Heroes of all past and current wars.
We Remember.

Wonderful you had a visit! I had plans, but it became necessary to cancel them, so I had a quiet day. Bother called last night from MO, so that was a fun conversation.

The cool weather and rain have ruined the picnic. The severe consequences are beyond cataclysmic. Hopes for a wonderful carefree stretch are gone. The expectations of merriment are being withdrawn.
Memorial Day was designed to honor and show respect. For the sacrificing men and women holding heads erect
Courageous soldiers who protect our privilege to be free. Many died in battle; they no longer have the opportunity.
So do not be discontent and complain about the weather. Be thankful you and your family can enjoy smiles together. On this day, while bands march somberly to patriotic songs
Let us appreciate and put our concentration where it belongs.
