My Dragonfly And Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

The Bivouac of the Dead By Theodore O'Hara, 1847
The muffled drum's sad roll has beat The soldier's last tattoo' No more on life's parade shall meet That brave and fallen few; On Fame's eternal camping ground Their silent tents are spread; But Glory guards with solemn round The bivouac of the dead.

Salute to an American Soldier |
|
|
|
I salute you, Soldier!
You are doing a job I cannot do To protect The values I treasure And the beautiful land I call Home.
There are things worth fighting for- Important things Like freedom And justice And the right to live In safety In the way one chooses In the place one chooses.
There are things worse than war- Terrible things Like oppression And unbridled power And cruelty Against the innocent Against the weak Against anyone.
So fight, Soldier. Fight with courage And honor And the knowledge that it is right.
You do what has to be done.
You bring new glory To Old Glory.
I am proud of you. I pray for you. I cheer you on. I stand behind you With my whole heart.
I salute you, Soldier.
